The CMF Phone 2 Pro is a budget 5G phone from CMF. The design-focused brand started as a Nothing sub-brand. It was announced on April 28, 2025, and first went on sale in India on May 5, 2025. In the US, Nothing’s Beta Program sold it for $279 with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. An 8GB/128GB model was sold in other markets.
Design and display
The phone keeps the exposed screws and accessory point of the CMF Phone 1. As a result, it works with add-ons such as a cover, a wallet stand, a lanyard and clip-on lenses. The frame and back are plastic, and the body is 7.8 mm thin and weighs 185 g. It is rated IP54 against dust and water splashes, up from IP52 on the previous model.
The front has a 6.77-inch flexible AMOLED panel with a 1080 x 2392 resolution. Its adaptive refresh rate goes up to 120Hz. It shows 10-bit color, supports HDR10+ and reaches 3,000 nits at peak. Panda Glass covers the screen, and an optical fingerprint reader sits under it. The phone comes in Black, White, Orange and Light Green.
Performance
Inside is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 in its Pro version, built on a 4nm process. Its eight CPU cores run at up to 2.5 GHz, and a Mali-G615 MC2 handles graphics. Every model has 8GB of RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. A hybrid microSD slot adds up to 2TB, but a card takes the place of the second SIM.
Cameras
The rear has three cameras. The main camera uses a 50MP 1/1.57-inch sensor with an f/1.88 lens and electronic stabilization, but no optical stabilization. A 50MP telephoto camera gives 2x optical zoom and up to 20x digital zoom. An 8MP ultrawide camera covers a 119.5-degree view. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera. The rear cameras record video at up to 4K and 30 fps.
Battery and charging
A 5,000mAh battery powers the phone. It charges at up to 33W over USB-C, and CMF says it reaches 50% in about 20 minutes. It can also charge other devices over a cable at 5W. There is no wireless charging. A charger was not part of the box in the US or Europe.
Software and updates
The phone launched with Android 15 and Nothing OS 3.2. It has the Essential Key, a dedicated button for Nothing’s Essential Space notes app. CMF promises three years of Android upgrades and six years of security patches. There is a single speaker and no headphone jack.
Should you buy the CMF Phone 2 Pro?
This phone suits buyers who want a big AMOLED screen and 2x telephoto on a budget. Expandable storage and long security support add to its value. On the other hand, it has a mono speaker, a plastic build and only IP54 protection. US buyers should note that it was sold only as a Beta Program device with limited carrier support. Nothing’s US and UK stores no longer list it, so stock is now limited. CMF has said it will not release a successor in 2026.
