About PhoneRanked

PhoneRanked is a smartphone database for buyers in the US and Europe. Each phone page lists the full specs, checked against official sources, along with the US launch price, release dates and reviews from owners.

Every phone gets a PhoneRanked score from 0 to 10, calculated from its specs and measured against phones from the same year and price range. The same data powers the Phone Finder, the rankings and side-by-side comparisons, so they update as soon as a phone is added or its specs change. How we rate phones.

Frequently asked questions

What is the PhoneRanked score?

A rating from 0 to 10 calculated from a phone's specs: display, performance, camera, battery, design and, when a US price is known, value. Phones are measured against today's market, so the score shows how a phone stands against its rivals.

Where do the specs come from?

From official sources: manufacturer product pages, spec sheets and press releases. Anything we can't confirm stays blank instead of being guessed, and every phone page shows when its specs were last checked.

How do I compare two phones?

Tap "+ Compare" on any phone card or phone page, add up to four phones, then open Compare. You'll see every spec side by side, with the better value highlighted.

Which prices do you show?

Official US launch prices of the cheapest version. We don't convert prices from other currencies, so a phone sold only outside the US shows no US price.

Can brands pay for a higher score?

No. Scores and rankings come only from specs. Some store links may earn us a commission, but they never change a score or a place in a ranking.
