The OnePlus 15 is the flagship phone of the OnePlus 2025 lineup. It was announced in China on October 27, 2025, and launched globally on November 13, 2025. In the US, sales started in December 2025 after a delay caused by FCC certification. The 12GB + 256GB model starts at $899.99. The 16GB + 512GB version costs $999.99.
Design and display
The flat 6.78-inch AMOLED screen has a 2772 x 1272 resolution and 450 ppi. The refresh rate adapts from 1 to 120Hz, and supported games can run at up to 165Hz. OnePlus rates the high brightness mode at 1800 nits, and the panel supports HDR10+ and HDR Vivid. Gorilla Glass Victus 2 covers the display.
Three colors are offered: Sand Storm, Infinite Black and Ultra Violet. Sand Storm has a fiberglass back and a frame hardened with Micro-Arc Oxidation. The other two colors use a glass back. As a result, Sand Storm measures 8.1 mm and 211 g, versus 8.2 mm and 215 g. In addition, the phone carries IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
Performance
Inside is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, with CPU cores at up to 4.608 GHz. The Adreno 840 handles graphics. It is paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. There is no microSD slot, so the storage you buy is the storage you keep.
Cameras
All three rear cameras use 50MP sensors. The main camera has a Sony IMX906 sensor, an f/1.8 lens and optical stabilization. Next to it sits a 3.5x telephoto camera with OIS and a 116-degree ultrawide camera. The rear cameras record video at up to 8K at 30fps or 4K at 120fps. On the front, a 32MP camera with autofocus records 4K video at up to 60fps.
Battery and charging
The 7,300mAh silicon-carbon battery uses a dual-cell design. Outside the US, the phone supports 120W SUPERVOOC wired charging, while the US model is limited to 80W. Both versions support 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging. Meanwhile, the US box includes a charger, but reviewers note that European units ship without one.
Software and updates
The phone ships with OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. In China, it runs ColorOS 16 instead. OnePlus promises four major Android updates and six years of security patches. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC and a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port. There is also an IR blaster and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader.
Should you buy the OnePlus 15?
The OnePlus 15 suits buyers who want a large battery, fast charging and a top Snapdragon chip. It also costs less than many flagships. It also fits people who need strong water resistance. However, there is no headphone jack or expandable storage. In addition, the update promise is shorter than the seven years offered by some rivals. Finally, US buyers get slower 80W wired charging than the global model.
