The F6 Pro is a 6.67-inch phone with a 2K display and a flagship Snapdragon chip from 2023. POCO announced it on May 23, 2024, at a global launch together with the F6. Sales started the same day. In Europe, it lists at €579.90 for the 12GB + 256GB version on POCO’s official store. In China, the same phone is sold as the REDMI K70.
Design and display
The F6 Pro has an aluminum alloy frame and a glass back with a textured finish. Corning Gorilla Glass 5 covers the screen. The phone has an IP54 rating, so it handles dust and splashes, but not immersion. It measures 160.86 x 74.95 x 8.21 mm and weighs 209 g. It comes in White and Black.
The 6.67-inch Flow AMOLED panel has a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels, or 526 ppi. It refreshes at up to 120Hz, but it is not an LTPO panel. Peak brightness reaches 4,000 nits. The screen supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision and uses up to 3,840Hz PWM dimming.
Performance
The phone uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, made on a 4nm process. Its top Cortex-X3 core runs at up to 3.19GHz. Memory options are 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB. All versions use LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. There is no microSD card slot.
Cameras
The main camera has a 50MP Light Fusion 800 sensor, sized 1/1.55 inches. It uses an f/1.6 lens with optical image stabilization. An 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera complete the rear setup. The rear cameras record video at up to 8K and 24fps, or 4K at 60fps. A 16MP front camera records 1080p video at up to 60fps.
Battery and charging
The F6 Pro has a 5,000mAh battery. Wired charging runs at up to 120W, and POCO says a full charge takes about 19 minutes. A 120W charger is included in most markets, though POCO notes some countries ship without it. There is no wireless charging and no reverse wireless charging.
Software and updates
The phone launched with Xiaomi HyperOS, based on Android 14. POCO supports it with three years of OS updates and four years of security patches. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC. There is also an IR blaster, stereo speakers and an optical in-display fingerprint reader. The phone takes two nano-SIM cards.
Should you buy the POCO F6 Pro?
The F6 Pro suits buyers who want a sharp 2K screen and fast 120W charging. It also has a glass and metal build. Its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 still handles demanding games well. On the other hand, the IP54 rating is weaker than the IP64 of the cheaper F6. The ultrawide and macro cameras are basic, and there is no telephoto lens. Its successor, the F7 Pro, adds a larger battery and an IP68 rating.
