The REDMI A7 Pro is an entry-level 4G phone with a 6.9-inch 120Hz screen and a 6,000mAh battery. Xiaomi announced it in Indonesia in February 2026, and sales there began on March 13. It reached Europe in late March. In Italy, it costs €129.90 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. This is the 4G version. A separate REDMI A7 Pro 5G with different hardware is sold in India.
Design and display
The phone measures 171.56 x 79.47 x 8.15 mm and weighs 208 g. A ring frames the camera on the back. Xiaomi sells it in Black, Mist Blue, Palm Green and Sunset Orange, although colors vary by market.
The 6.9-inch LCD panel has a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, or 254 ppi. It refreshes at up to 120Hz. Typical brightness is 650 nits, and high brightness mode reaches 800 nits. The screen also offers DC dimming and three TÜV Rheinland eye-comfort certifications. Wet Touch 2.0 keeps touch input working with wet or oily fingers.
Performance
The phone runs on the Unisoc T7250, a 12nm octa-core chip. It pairs two Cortex-A75 cores at 1.8GHz with six Cortex-A55 cores at 1.6GHz. A Mali-G57 GPU handles graphics. Every version has 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM, with 64GB or 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. A microSD slot adds more space, and virtual RAM can add up to 4GB more.
The T7250 has no 5G modem, so the phone works on 4G LTE networks only. By contrast, the REDMI A7 Pro 5G uses a 6nm Unisoc T8300 chip. That model also has a 32MP main camera, a 6,300mAh battery, stereo speakers and IP52 protection.
Cameras
The rear setup combines a 13MP main camera with an auxiliary sensor. The main camera has a 1/3.06-inch sensor and an f/2.2 lens. Xiaomi says the sensor takes in 13% more light than the one in the REDMI A5. On the front, there is an 8MP camera with an f/2.0 lens. Both cameras record video at up to 1080p and 30fps. Night mode, portrait mode and HDR are included.
Battery and charging
The 6,000mAh battery supports 15W wired charging. In global markets, a charger comes in the box, but Xiaomi says this may vary by region. According to Xiaomi, the battery keeps at least 80% of its capacity after 1,000 charging cycles. The company quotes up to 35 hours of video playback.
Software and updates
The REDMI A7 Pro ships with Xiaomi HyperOS 3. It includes Google Gemini and Circle to Search. Xiaomi has not published an update policy on the product page for this 4G model. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, AI face unlock and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2 handle wireless connections. NFC depends on the region.
Should you buy the REDMI A7 Pro?
The REDMI A7 Pro suits buyers who want a large screen and long battery life at a low price. The headphone jack and microSD slot add practical value. However, the chip is modest, RAM is fixed at 4GB, and there is no 5G. Charging at 15W is also slow for a 6,000mAh battery. Buyers who need 5G should look at other models in this price range.
