The HONOR Robot Phone is a camera-focused flagship built around a motorized gimbal that lifts the main camera out of the body. HONOR first showed it at MWC 2026 and announced it in China on August 12, 2026. Sales started there on August 18, 2026, at RMB 9,999 for the 12GB + 512GB model. HONOR has not announced a US price or a global release date.
Design and display
The phone uses a metal unibody with curved edges. It measures 151.43 x 72.86 x 9.59 mm and weighs about 248 grams. That makes it thicker and heavier than most slab flagships. The body is rated IP54, so it resists splashes and dust but is not built for immersion.
On the back, a sliding cover hides a 4-DoF titanium gimbal. It can pan, tilt, roll and flip, and it turns at up to 360 degrees per second. The front holds a 6.31-inch LTPO OLED panel with a 1216 x 2640 resolution. Its refresh rate adapts from 1 Hz to 120 Hz. HONOR rates HDR peak brightness at 6,800 nits and full-screen peak brightness at 2,000 nits. The screen also uses 4,320 Hz PWM dimming.
Performance
The phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. This 3 nm chip has two prime cores at 4.6 GHz, six performance cores at 3.62 GHz and an Adreno 840 GPU. Buyers can choose 12GB of RAM with 512GB of storage or 16GB with 1TB. There is no memory card slot. HONOR also adds its own H1 image chip for video processing.
Cameras
The main 200MP camera sits on the gimbal. It has a 1/1.28-inch sensor, an f/1.6 aperture, OIS and 3-axis mechanical stabilization. A second 200MP camera uses a periscope lens with 2.7x optical zoom, a 1/1.4-inch sensor and OIS. A 50MP ultrawide camera with a 122-degree view completes the rear setup.
The gimbal can track a subject during video, live streams and video calls. Video goes up to 4K at 120 fps. In ARRI CINEMA mode, the phone records 4K video in ARRI LogC3 at up to 60 fps. The front camera has 50MP and also records 4K video.
Battery and charging
A 7,060 mAh silicon-carbon battery powers the phone. Its rated capacity is 6,880 mAh. Wired charging reaches 120W, and a 120W charger comes in the box in China. Wireless charging reaches 50W with an HONOR wireless charger, which is sold separately. The phone can also charge other devices wirelessly.
Software and updates
The Robot Phone ships with MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. YOYO Robot Mode lets the gimbal react to music, gestures and voice. The YOYO agent can also run multi-step tasks across supported apps. HONOR has not published how many years of updates the phone will get.
Should you buy the HONOR Robot Phone?
The phone suits creators who film themselves and want built-in stabilization without carrying a separate gimbal. It also fits buyers who want two 200MP cameras and a large battery. However, it is sold only in China for now. Its IP54 rating, 248-gram weight and unknown update policy are also worth weighing before an import.
