The Huawei Pura X View is a non-folding phone with an unusually wide 16:9.5 screen. Huawei first showed it on August 20, 2026. The official launch followed on September 7, 2026, at the HarmonyOS 7 event. Sales started in China on September 9, 2026. Prices begin at CNY 5,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model, which places it in the flagship segment. So far, it is sold only in China.
Design and display
The phone borrows the wide shape of the foldable Pura X series but drops the hinge. It measures 144.1 x 87.0 x 6.68 mm and weighs 201 grams. As a result, it is shorter and wider than most slab phones.
The 6.39-inch OLED panel has a resolution of 2232 x 1320 pixels and a density of 406 ppi. It runs at up to 120Hz and uses 2160Hz PWM dimming. Huawei rates local peak brightness at 6,500 nits. The bezels are 1.05 mm on all four sides, and Kunlun Glass covers the screen. In addition, the phone is rated IP68 and IP69 for water and dust resistance.
Performance
Huawei’s Kirin 9030S powers the phone, paired with 12GB of RAM. Storage options are 256GB, 512GB and 1TB, with no memory card slot. A vapor chamber handles cooling. Huawei claims overall performance is 28% higher than on the original Pura X.
Cameras
The rear module holds three cameras. The main camera uses a 200MP sensor with an f/1.8 lens and optical stabilization. Next to it sits a 50MP periscope telephoto with an f/2.6 lens, OIS and 3.7x optical zoom. An 8MP ultrawide camera also works as a macro lens.
Furthermore, Huawei adds a second-generation multispectral color sensor and a laser focus sensor. The rear cameras record video up to 4K. On the front, a 50MP selfie camera also records 4K video.
Battery and charging
Despite the 6.68 mm body, the phone packs a 7,000 mAh silicon-anode battery. It supports 66W wired and 50W wireless charging. It can also charge other devices by wire or wirelessly. A charger and a clear case come in the box.
Software and updates
The Pura X View is the first phone to ship with HarmonyOS 7. It does not run Android and has no Google apps. Huawei has not published how many years of system updates it will provide. Connectivity includes NFC, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 and dual nano-SIM with eSIM. The phone also has stereo speakers and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. BeiDou satellite messaging works only in mainland China.
Should you buy the Huawei Pura X View?
The Pura X View suits buyers who want a wide screen without a folding design. It fits video, reading and games well. Its large battery and thin body are also strong points. However, the wide shape can make one-hand use harder. Buyers outside China should also note that there is no global version yet, and the software lacks Google services.
