The Infinix GT 50 Pro is a gaming-focused mid-range phone. Infinix launched it globally on April 24, 2026, as the follow-up to the GT 30 Pro. It is sold in markets such as the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Egypt, but not officially in the US. There is no official US price.
Design and display
The phone measures 162.44 x 77.23 x 8.15 mm and weighs 198 g. A clear window on the back shows the pipes of its HydroFlow liquid cooling system. The back also carries customizable LED light strips that Infinix calls Mechanical Light Waves. Reviewers describe the back panel as plastic. Two pressure-sensitive GT Triggers sit on the right edge and work as shoulder buttons in games. The phone has an IP64 rating against dust and water splashes.
The 6.78-inch AMOLED screen has a 1208 x 2644 resolution and 429 ppi. It refreshes at up to 144Hz and reaches 4500 nits at peak. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i covers the panel, and PWM dimming runs at up to 2304Hz.
Performance
Inside is the MediaTek Dimensity 8400, sold here as the Dimensity 8400 Ultimate. It is a 4 nm chip with eight Cortex-A725 cores at up to 3.25 GHz. A Mali-G720 MC7 GPU handles graphics. Every version has 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Infinix also uses its own N1 network chip and a 7700 mm² vapor chamber. The company says the phone runs selected games at 144 frames per second.
Cameras
The rear setup has two cameras. The 50MP main camera uses an f/1.59 lens with autofocus and optical stabilization. An 8MP ultrawide camera covers a 111.4-degree field of view. The main camera records 4K video at up to 60 fps. On the front, a 13MP selfie camera records 4K video at 30 fps.
Battery and charging
The global model has a 6500mAh battery, although Infinix notes that capacity can differ by region. It charges at up to 45W by cable and 30W wirelessly. The phone can also charge other devices at 10W by cable and 5W wirelessly. Bypass charging powers the phone directly to reduce heat during long sessions. With the optional GT Magcharge Cooler 2.0, bypass charging also works wirelessly.
Software and updates
The GT 50 Pro ships with XOS 16 based on Android 16. Infinix promises three major Android upgrades and five years of security patches. Gaming tools include an esports mode and an AI voice changer.
Should you buy the GT 50 Pro?
The GT 50 Pro suits mobile gamers on a mid-range budget. It offers shoulder triggers, active liquid cooling and a 144Hz screen. Its large battery and wireless charging also help heavy users. However, buyers who need stronger water protection should note the IP64 rating. The dual-camera setup is basic, and the phone is not officially sold in the US or Europe.
