The Motorola Signature 27 is the second phone in Motorola‘s premium Signature family. Motorola unveiled it on September 22, 2026, at Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit. It was the first phone shown with the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. The phone is not on sale yet, and Motorola has not announced its price. The company says it will reach markets worldwide in 2026. Motorola has also told media that it will join its North American lineup in the coming months.

The Signature 27 is the first of Motorola’s ultra-premium phones with a new naming scheme. The number uses the last two digits of the coming year, so future models will follow the same pattern.

Design and display

The phone has an aluminum frame with contoured edges and a thin profile. Its camera housing combines smooth ceramic with brushed aluminum. Motorola announced two finishes. PANTONE Coal Smoke uses a woven “Tactical Weave” texture that is meant to improve grip. PANTONE Capulet Olive has a brushed, textile-inspired finish.

Motorola has not shared display details yet. Size, resolution, refresh rate and brightness should be confirmed closer to launch.

Performance

The Signature 27 runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. Qualcomm builds the chip on a 2 nm process. Its CPU has two Prime cores at up to 5.0 GHz and six cores at up to 4.0 GHz. RAM and storage options have not been announced.

To handle heat, Motorola uses a cooling system called ArcticMesh. It combines diamond-infused thermal gel, liquid metal, copper mesh and a redesigned 3D vapor chamber. Motorola says the system is 40% larger than in the previous generation. The phone also uses six antennas for faster downloads.

Cameras

Motorola has confirmed two rear cameras so far. The main camera uses a 50MP Sony LYTIA 910 sensor. It is joined by a 200MP periscope telephoto camera for distant subjects. Official images show more lenses on the back, but Motorola has not described them yet.

For video, a Video Enhancement Engine adjusts color in real time before and during recording. In addition, Qualcomm’s image stabilization works together with 3.5-degree OIS hardware to smooth out panning and handheld shots.

Software and updates

Motorola promises seven Android OS upgrades and up to seven years of security updates. Both count from the global launch date. Google Gemini is built in. It can turn prompts, photos or footage into videos with Gemini Omni and create music with Lyria. The GrapheneOS project has also named the Signature 27 as a supported device, although its timing is not confirmed.

It is also Motorola’s first phone with Audio by B&O. This comes from a multi-year partnership with Bang & Olufsen.

Release date and price

Motorola has not given an exact release date or price. It says the phone will come to markets worldwide in 2026 and will share more details closer to availability. Battery capacity, charging speeds and memory options are also still unknown.

Should you buy the Motorola Signature 27?

It is too early to decide, since the phone is not on sale and key specs are missing. So far, it suits buyers who want a top Snapdragon chip, 200MP periscope zoom and long support. If you are interested, wait for the full launch, when price, battery and display details are expected.
