The Motorola Razr+ 2026 is a clamshell foldable that sits between the Razr 2026 and the Razr Ultra 2026. Motorola announced it on April 29, 2026, and it went on sale in the US on May 21, 2026. The only US version, with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, costs $1,099.99. That is $100 more than the Razr+ 2025. Outside the US, it is sold as the Motorola Razr 70 Plus.
Design and display
The phone keeps the size and weight of the previous two models. Open, it measures 171.42 x 73.99 x 7.09 mm. Closed, it is 15.32 mm thick, and it weighs 189 g. The back uses a vegan leather finish in a single color, PANTONE Mountain View. Motorola also switched to a titanium hinge this year, and the body carries an IP48 rating.
Inside, a 6.9-inch LTPO Extreme AMOLED panel runs at up to 165Hz with a 1084 x 2640 resolution. It reaches 3,000 nits at peak and supports Dolby Vision. On the outside, a 4-inch cover display also runs at 165Hz. It has Gorilla Glass Victus and a 2,400-nit peak, so full apps can run without opening the phone.
Performance
The phone uses the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a 4nm chip with a top CPU clock of 3.0GHz. It is the same chip used in the Razr+ 2024 and Razr+ 2025. It is paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of storage, and there is no microSD slot. Connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC, while the USB-C port runs at USB 2.0 speed.
Cameras
The rear setup has two 50MP cameras. The main camera has an f/1.8 lens, a 1/1.95-inch sensor and optical stabilization. This year, a 50MP ultrawide with a 122-degree field of view replaces the 2x telephoto of the previous model. The rear cameras record 4K video at up to 60fps with Dolby Vision. A 32MP camera sits in the inner display for selfies and video calls.
Battery and charging
The battery grows from 4,000mAh to 4,500mAh and uses a silicon-carbon anode. Motorola rates it at over 31 hours on a single charge. Wired charging stays at 45W, and the phone also supports 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse charging. The box includes a USB-C cable but no charger.
Software and updates
The phone ships with Android 16 and includes Google Gemini along with Motorola’s own Moto AI features. Motorola promises three major Android upgrades. Reports on security support differ, with figures between four and six years, so the exact period remains unclear.
Should you buy the Motorola Razr+ 2026?
The Razr+ 2026 suits buyers who want a compact flip phone with a large, fast cover screen. It also adds a bigger battery and a wider ultrawide camera over last year’s model. However, owners of the 2024 or 2025 models get the same chip and charging speeds. Buyers who need optical zoom or long software support may prefer other foldables.
