The Nothing Phone (4b) is the entry model of the Nothing lineup. It is also the first phone of the new B-series. Nothing announced it on July 7, 2026. It sits below the Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro. In the UK it costs £299, and in Germany and Austria it costs €329. The phone is sold in the UK, Europe and India, but not in the US or Canada.
Design and display
The Phone (4b) uses a plastic unibody with a soft-touch coating. Its camera module borrows the look of the Phone (4a) Pro. A clear section shows parts of the internals. On the back, a Glyph Bar of mini-LEDs shows timers, deliveries and charging status. A red light also signals when you record video.
The front has a 6.77-inch Super AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1080 x 2344 pixels. It refreshes at up to 120 Hz and reaches 2,000 nits at peak. Dragontrail Pro glass covers the screen. The body measures 164.4 x 78.2 x 8.6 mm and weighs 210 g. It is rated IP64, so it resists dust and splashes but is not built for immersion.
Performance
Inside is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, built on a 4 nm process. Its eight CPU cores reach up to 2.3 GHz, and an Adreno 810 GPU handles graphics. Every version has 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Storage is 128 GB of UFS 2.2, and India also gets a 256 GB model. There is no microSD slot. A vapor chamber of 4,400 mm² helps manage heat during gaming.
Cameras
The rear has two cameras. The main one has 50 MP, an f/1.8 lens, a 1/2.76-inch sensor and optical stabilization. Next to it sits an 8 MP ultrawide camera with a 119.5° field of view. The front camera has 16 MP. Both rear cameras can record 4K video at 30 fps.
Battery and charging
Outside India, the battery holds 5,200 mAh. The Indian version gets a larger 6,000 mAh cell. Wired charging runs at up to 33 W, and Nothing says it reaches 50% in under 30 minutes. The phone can also charge other devices over a cable at 7.5 W. It has no wireless charging, and no charger comes in the box.
Software and updates
The phone ships with Nothing OS 4.1 based on Android 16. Nothing promises three years of Android upgrades and six years of security patches. The Essential Key opens Nothing’s AI tools, such as Essential Space and Essential Search. Other features include stereo speakers, NFC outside India, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 6.0.
Should you buy the Phone (4b)?
The Phone (4b) suits buyers in the UK, Europe or India on a modest budget. It offers a large AMOLED screen and long battery life. It also keeps Nothing’s distinctive design and Glyph Bar. However, the single 128 GB model in most markets may feel tight, and there is no card slot. Its IP64 rating and three years of OS upgrades also trail some rivals. Buyers who want a telephoto camera should look at the Phone (4a) instead.
