The OPPO Reno16 Pro 5G is the top model of the global Reno16 series. OPPO announced it on June 25, 2026. Sales in the UK and Europe began on July 3. In Europe, it costs €1,099 for 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The UK price is £899. The phone is not sold in the US.
Design and display
The Reno16 Pro 5G uses a compact 6.32-inch AMOLED screen. It has a 2640 x 1216 resolution and 460 ppi. The panel supports 60, 90, 120 and 144 Hz. OPPO says 144 Hz works only in some games. The high brightness mode reaches 1,800 nits, and reviews report a 3,600-nit peak.
The frame is aluminum, and the back is glass. Like its siblings, the Pop White model shows a 3D planet effect under the glass. The phone measures 151.21 x 72.42 x 8.20 mm and weighs about 188 g in Starlight Black. It carries IP68 and IP69K ratings. A Snap Key sits on the left side.
Performance
OPPO uses the Dimensity 8550, which it calls the Dimensity 8550 SUPER. The 4 nm chip has eight cores with a top clock of 3.4 GHz. A Mali-G720 GPU handles graphics. The phone pairs 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM with UFS 3.1 storage. A HyperCool vapor chamber helps with cooling. Reviewers describe the chip as a mid-range part.
Cameras
The main camera has a 200 MP sensor with an f/1.8 lens and optical stabilization. It sits next to a 50 MP ultrawide and a 50 MP 3.5x telephoto with OIS. The 50 MP selfie camera has autofocus. Both sides record 4K video at up to 60 fps.
Battery and charging
The UK and European model has a 6,000 mAh battery. OPPO’s global page lists 6,700 mAh for other markets. Charging peaks at 80 W with SUPERVOOC or UFCS. There is no wireless charging, and the USB-C port runs at USB 2.0 speed.
Software and updates
The Reno16 Pro 5G launches with ColorOS 16 on Android 16. OPPO promises five major OS updates and six years of security patches. Stereo speakers, NFC, an IR blaster, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 are included.
Should you buy the Reno16 Pro 5G?
This phone suits buyers who want a 200 MP camera in a small, waterproof body. The update promise is long for the segment. However, the price is close to flagship level. The chip, the USB 2.0 port and the missing wireless charging are not. Buyers who do not need a compact size may compare it with larger rivals at a similar price.
