The REDMI Note 15 is the 4G version of the base model in REDMI’s 2026 Note lineup. A separate REDMI Note 15 5G uses the same name with a different chip. REDMI announced the phone globally on December 18, 2025, together with four other Note 15 models. Xiaomi lists it from €199.90 in its European online store, and it is not sold in the US. The phone sits in the entry-level segment and focuses on battery size and screen brightness.
Design and display
The front is a 6.77-inch curved AMOLED panel with a 2392 x 1080 resolution. It refreshes at up to 120 Hz. Xiaomi rates its peak brightness at 3,200 nits. The panel also supports 3,840 Hz PWM dimming and a 240 Hz touch sampling rate.
The body is 7.94 mm thick and weighs 183.7 g. It has a plastic back and an IP64 rating against dust and splashes. Xiaomi says the front glass survived 1.8 m face-down drops onto marble in its own lab tests. The phone comes in Black, Glacier Blue, Purple and Forest Green, depending on the market.
Performance
The phone runs on the MediaTek Helio G100-Ultra, a 6 nm chip. Its CPU reaches 2.2 GHz, and the GPU is a Mali-G57 MC2. RAM is 6 GB or 8 GB, and storage ranges from 128 GB to 512 GB (UFS 2.2). A hybrid slot accepts microSD cards of up to 2 TB.
The REDMI Note 15 5G differs in several ways. It uses a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip with 5G support. It also adds an 8 MP ultrawide camera and 4K video. On the other hand, it has a smaller 5,520 mAh battery with 45 W charging.
Cameras
The rear has a 108 MP main camera with an f/1.7 aperture and a 1/1.67-inch sensor. A 2 MP depth sensor sits next to it, and there is no ultrawide camera. The front camera has 20 MP. Rear video tops out at 1080p at 60 fps, and front video at 1080p at 30 fps.
Battery and charging
A 6,000 mAh battery powers the phone, which is larger than the cell in the REDMI Note 14. Wired charging reaches 33 W, and the phone can charge other devices by cable at up to 18 W. Xiaomi says the battery keeps over 80% of its capacity after 2,000 full cycles. A charger is not included in the box in many markets.
Software and updates
The phone ships with Xiaomi HyperOS 2 based on Android 15. Xiaomi promises six years of security updates. It also includes Google Gemini, NFC in most markets, an IR blaster and dual speakers. However, the 3.5 mm headphone jack of the previous model is gone.
Should you buy the REDMI Note 15?
The REDMI Note 15 suits buyers who want a big battery and a bright AMOLED screen at a low price. Expandable storage is a bonus. It is a good fit where 4G coverage is enough. Buyers who need 5G, an ultrawide camera or 4K video should look at the REDMI Note 15 5G instead. Those who use wired headphones will also need a USB-C adapter.
