The Unihertz Titan 2 Elite is a compact 5G phone with a physical QWERTY keyboard. Unihertz unveiled it at MWC 2026 in Barcelona in March 2026. A Kickstarter campaign followed on March 24, and backer units were scheduled to ship in June 2026. Unihertz now sells it on its own store for $489.99 in the US. It sits in the mid-range and targets people who type a lot.
Design and display
The phone measures 117.8 x 75 x 10.4 mm and weighs 163 g. That makes it shorter than most modern phones, though about as wide. Unihertz uses an aerospace-grade aluminum mid-frame with an anodized finish. Two colors are offered: Black and Orange, both with a matte surface.
Above the keyboard sits a 4.03-inch AMOLED screen. It has a resolution of 1080 x 1200 pixels, or 401 ppi, and a 120Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness reaches 1,600 nits. The keyboard is touch-sensitive, so it also works as a trackpad for scrolling and moving the cursor. Each letter key accepts short-press and long-press shortcuts, and the keys are backlit.
Performance
The Titan 2 Elite runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400, a 4 nm octa-core chip with cores up to 2.6 GHz. It comes with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. A microSD card can take the place of the second SIM, and it supports cards up to 2TB. The Titan 2 Elite Pro is a separate model with a Dimensity 8400 and 512GB of storage.
Cameras
On the back, the phone has a 50MP main camera and a 50MP telephoto camera with autofocus. Unihertz quotes up to 20x zoom. The main camera of the standard model does not have optical stabilization; that feature is reserved for the Pro. A 32MP camera on the front handles selfies and video calls.
Battery and charging
A 4,050mAh silicon-carbon battery powers the phone. It uses sixth-generation cells from ATL. Wired charging tops out at 33W, and a USB-C power adapter comes in the box. There is no wireless charging.
Software and updates
The phone ships with Android 16. Unihertz promises upgrades up to Android 20 and security patches until 2031. Extras include NFC with Google Pay, an IR blaster, FM radio and dual-band GPS. Connectivity covers Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 6.0 and dual Nano-SIM with eSIM. A red programmable side button can launch any app, and the power button doubles as a fingerprint reader.
Should you buy the Titan 2 Elite?
The Titan 2 Elite suits people who want real keys for email and messaging. It also fits buyers who want a small phone with long software support. However, the screen is small for photo editing, gaming and long videos. There is no headphone jack, and the phone has a single speaker. If you want more power and a stabilized main camera, the Titan 2 Elite Pro costs more.
