The X300 E is the newest member of the vivo X300 series. vivo announced it in China on July 27, 2026, and sales started there on July 31. It is a high-end phone that sits below the X300 and X300 Pro. The phone is sold only in China for now, starting at CNY 4,799 for the 12GB + 256GB version.
Design and display
Unlike the round camera island of the X300 and X300 Pro, the X300 E uses a square camera module. The body pairs an aluminum frame with a one-piece glass back. It measures 157.52 x 74.33 mm. The black and orange versions are 7.79 mm thick and weigh 199.5 g, while the white one is 7.99 mm and 203 g.
The flat 6.59-inch AMOLED screen has a 2750 x 1260 resolution, or about 459 ppi. It runs at up to 144Hz, although vivo says 144Hz works only in some games. Peak brightness reaches 5,000 nits in small areas and 1,800 nits across the full screen. The panel shows 10-bit color and uses 4320Hz PWM dimming at 120Hz.
Performance
Inside is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a 3nm chip with two cores at 3.8 GHz and six at 3.32 GHz. It comes with an Adreno 829 GPU. Every version has 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, with 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. There is no microSD slot. A vapor chamber handles cooling.
Cameras
The triple rear camera system is co-developed with ZEISS. The 50MP main camera uses a Sony IMX921 sensor (1/1.56″) with an f/1.88 lens and OIS. Next to it sits a 50MP periscope telephoto with a Sony IMX882 sensor, an f/2.65 lens and OIS. It offers 3x zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. An 8MP ultrawide camera completes the setup.
On the front, a 50MP selfie camera has autofocus. Both the main and telephoto cameras record 4K video, while the ultrawide tops out at 1080p. Unlike other X300 models, the X300 E does not work with the vivo telephoto extender kit.
Battery and charging
The X300 E has the largest battery in the X300 series at 7,200 mAh. vivo uses its second-generation semi-solid battery tech here. Wired charging reaches 90W, and a charger comes in the box. However, there is no wireless charging. A bypass charging mode powers the phone directly while gaming.
Software and updates
The phone ships with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Other features include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader, stereo speakers and an IR blaster. It also has NFC, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and IP68 and IP69 protection. vivo has not published an update policy for this model.
Should you buy the vivo X300 E?
The X300 E suits buyers who want a long-lasting phone with a real periscope camera at a lower price than the X300 Pro. Its large battery and IP68/IP69 rating are strong points. On the other hand, it lacks wireless charging and an LTPO display. Also keep in mind that it is officially sold only in China, so buyers elsewhere need to import it.
