The Xiaomi 17T Pro is the higher model in the 17T series from Xiaomi. Xiaomi announced it globally on May 28, 2026, and sales started the same day. That is months earlier than previous T-series launches, which came in September. The 12GB/256GB version launched at €899 in Europe and £799 in the UK. There is no official US price.
Design and display
The phone measures 162.2 x 77.5 x 8.25 mm and weighs 219 g. It has a flat aluminum frame and an IP68 rating for dust and water. Gorilla Glass 7i covers the front. Color options are Black, Deep Violet and Deep Blue.
The 6.83-inch AMOLED panel has a resolution of 2772 x 1280 pixels, or 447 ppi. It refreshes at up to 144Hz. Xiaomi lists 3,500 nits of peak brightness, up from 3,200 nits on the 15T Pro. The screen supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision and uses DC dimming.
Performance
Inside is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, built on a 3nm process. It replaces the Dimensity 9400+ used in the Xiaomi 15T Pro. The CPU has one C1-Ultra core at up to 4.21GHz, three C1-Premium cores and four C1-Pro cores. Graphics come from the Mali G1-Ultra GPU.
Every version has 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Storage options are 256GB, 512GB and 1TB of UFS 4.1, and there is no microSD slot. Xiaomi quotes an AnTuTu v11 score above 3.57 million from its own lab. In addition, a 3D IceLoop cooling system manages heat.
Cameras
The triple rear camera system was co-engineered with Leica. The main camera pairs a 1/1.31-inch 50MP Light Fusion 950 sensor with an f/1.67 lens and OIS. It replaces the Light Fusion 900 sensor from the 15T Pro. A 50MP periscope telephoto offers 5x optical zoom at 115mm, also with OIS. A 12MP ultrawide completes the setup with a 120-degree field of view.
Digital zoom reaches up to 120x with AI Ultra Zoom. The rear cameras record video at up to 8K 30fps or 4K 120fps. Log recording is available at up to 4K 60fps. On the front, a 32MP selfie camera films in 4K at 30fps.
Battery and charging
The battery is a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon cell, 1,500mAh more than in the 15T Pro. Xiaomi says it is the highest capacity it has used in a phone for global markets. The phone supports 100W wired and 50W wireless HyperCharge. It can also charge other devices over a cable at 22.5W. However, no charger comes in the box.
Software and updates
The 17T Pro ships with Android 16 and Xiaomi HyperOS 3. Xiaomi promises five major Android updates and six years of security patches. Google Gemini and Circle to Search are built in. Other features include NFC, an IR blaster, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0.
Should you buy the Xiaomi 17T Pro?
The Xiaomi 17T Pro suits buyers who want a large battery, fast charging and a 5x telephoto camera. It also costs less than the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, which launched at €1,499. On the other hand, its launch price is €100 higher than the 15T Pro. The fingerprint reader is optical rather than ultrasonic. There is no headphone jack or microSD slot, and the charger is sold separately.
