The DOOGEE V Max 2 is a rugged 5G phone built around a 22,000mAh battery. DOOGEE opened pre-orders on its official store in April 2026, together with the V Max 2 Pro. The launch price was $659.99 for the only version, with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It sits in the large-battery rugged segment, aimed at field work, travel and outdoor use.
Design and display
This is a heavy, thick phone. It measures 184.89 x 84.6 x 29.4 mm and weighs 629 g with the battery. The body carries IP68 and IP69K ratings and is tested to MIL-STD-810H. In addition, the back holds dual 1,000-lumen camping lights with flash and SOS modes.
The main screen is a 6.78-inch FHD+ IPS panel with a punch-hole camera and a 120Hz refresh rate. On the back, a 1.05-inch TFT display shows battery and charging status without waking the main screen. The phone comes in Black, Silver and Gray.
Performance
The phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8300, a 4nm octa-core chip. Its fastest CPU core runs at 3.35 GHz. It is paired with 16GB of physical RAM. Up to 32GB of extended RAM can be added from storage, but that is not physical memory.
Storage is 512GB. A dedicated microSD slot accepts cards of up to 2TB, so the two SIM slots stay free. The V Max 2 Pro uses the same hardware with 1TB of storage.
Cameras
There are three rear cameras. The main sensor has 200 megapixels. Next to it sit an 8MP ultrawide and macro camera and a 64MP infrared night vision camera. On the front, a 32MP camera handles selfies and video calls.
Battery and charging
The 22,000mAh silicon-carbon battery is the main reason to choose this model. It supports 120W wired charging over USB-C. The phone can also charge other devices through 33W reverse wired charging. DOOGEE includes a charger and a USB-C cable in the standard package.
Software and updates
The V Max 2 ships with Android 16. It supports NFC with Google Pay, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4. Push-to-Talk over Cellular support adds an intercom-style option for teams. However, DOOGEE has not announced how many years of Android or security updates the phone will get.
Should you buy the V Max 2?
The V Max 2 suits people who spend long days away from a charger. Field teams, campers and travelers get a huge battery, fast charging and a full rugged rating. The night vision camera and camping lights also help with work after dark.
On the other hand, the size and weight make it hard to carry in a pocket. There is no confirmed update policy either. Buyers who need more storage can choose the V Max 2 Pro with 1TB.
