The HONOR 200 Lite is the entry model of the HONOR 200 series. It launched in France in April 2024 with pre-orders on HONOR’s online store. In Europe, it costs €329.90, and the UK launch on June 12, 2024 set the price at £279.99. It aims at buyers who want a thin phone with a high-resolution camera.
Design and display
The phone is only 6.78 mm thick and weighs about 166 g. It has a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels. The refresh rate tops out at 90Hz. HONOR rates peak HDR brightness at 2,000 nits.
The display uses 3240Hz PWM dimming, certified flicker-free by TÜV Rheinland. The body also has SGS five-star drop-resistance certification. The fingerprint reader sits in the power button on the side. Colors are Starry Blue, Cyan Lake and Midnight Black.
Performance
The phone runs on the Dimensity 6080, an entry-level 5G chip from MediaTek. It has two Cortex-A76 cores at 2.4 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores. The GPU is a Mali-G57 MC2. There is one version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The storage cannot be expanded.
Cameras
The rear camera module holds a 108MP main camera with an f/1.75 lens. A 5MP wide and depth camera and a 2MP macro camera join it. The main camera has no optical stabilization. Video recording on the rear camera goes up to 1080p.
On the front, a 50MP selfie camera sits in a pill-shaped cutout. HONOR uses this cutout for its Magic Capsule feature, which shows live alerts around the camera.
Battery and charging
The battery has a typical capacity of 4,500 mAh. Wired charging reaches 35W with HONOR’s SuperCharge adapter. No charger comes in the box. The phone does not support wireless charging. The battery size matches the HONOR 90 Lite, its predecessor.
Software and updates
The HONOR 200 Lite shipped with MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14. It supports 5G, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1. It takes two nano-SIM cards and uses a USB-C 2.0 port. The phone has no 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Should you buy the HONOR 200 Lite?
The HONOR 200 Lite suits buyers who value a slim, light design and a sharp AMOLED screen. The 108MP main camera is its key feature. However, its 90Hz screen, modest chip and 35W charging trail some rivals. The successor, the HONOR 400 Lite, arrived in 2025, so compare prices first.
