The Pura 90 Plus is a Huawei flagship that was announced in China on October 28, 2026. Sales began there on October 31. It is the fourth member of the Pura 90 family and the first phone with the Kirin 9025 chip. In China, the price starts at 5,499 yuan for the 256 GB version. Huawei has not announced a global release.
Design and display
This model stands apart from the flat-sided Pura 90 Pro phones. It uses a curved metal frame and a rounded back, along with the triangular camera module of the series. The body measures 163 x 76.1 x 8.3 mm and weighs about 220 g. It carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
The 6.8-inch OLED panel curves on all four sides and has a resolution of 2848 x 1276 pixels. LTPO technology lets the refresh rate move between 1 Hz and 120 Hz. Huawei also lists 1440 Hz PWM dimming and a 300 Hz touch sampling rate. Second-generation Kunlun Glass protects the screen.
Four colors are sold: Obsidian Black, Snow White, Sunset Purple and Dawn Gold. All of them are China-market colors, since the phone is sold only there.
Performance
The Kirin 9025 powers the phone. Huawei claims a 19% gain in overall performance from combined hardware and software tuning. It has not published the core layout or manufacturing process. Every version has 12 GB of RAM, with 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB of storage. There is no memory card slot.
Cameras
The rear system has four cameras. The main one pairs a 50 MP, 1-inch sensor with a variable f/1.6-4.0 aperture and optical stabilization. A 48 MP telephoto camera adds f/2.1, stabilization and 4x optical zoom, and it also handles macro shots. A 40 MP ultrawide with f/2.2 and a 1.5 MP multispectral color sensor complete the set.
Rear video reaches 4K. On the front, a 13 MP f/2.0 camera with autofocus also records 4K video.
Battery and charging
The battery has a typical capacity of 5,700 mAh. Wired charging reaches 100 W, and a 100 W charger comes in the box in China. Wireless charging reaches 80 W with a separately sold Huawei charger. The phone also supports reverse wireless charging and 18 W reverse wired charging.
Software and updates
The phone ships with HarmonyOS 7.0, so Google services are not part of the system. Huawei’s Super Storage feature can free up to 110 GB on the 1 TB model, according to the company. BeiDou satellite messaging works in mainland China only. Huawei has not published a promise for system or security updates.
Should you buy the Pura 90 Plus?
It suits buyers in China who want a curved design, a large main sensor and fast wireless charging. The 4x telephoto with macro shooting adds flexibility for close-up photos. Buyers elsewhere should note that there is no global version. The software is also built for the China market. Those who prefer a flat design can look at the other Pura 90 models.
