The Moto G Stylus (2026) is Motorola‘s 2026 mid-range phone with a built-in pen. It was announced on April 7, 2026, and went on sale in the US on April 16, 2026. The unlocked model starts at $499.99, which is $100 more than the 2025 version. In Canada, it launched at C$699.99 through Motorola.ca.
Design and display
The 6.7-inch Extreme AMOLED screen has a 1.5K resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels. It refreshes at up to 120Hz and reaches a peak brightness of 5,000 nits. Gorilla Glass 3 protects the display, and the touch screen works with wet fingers.
The body has a plastic frame and a leather-inspired back. It is rated IP68 and IP69 and meets MIL-STD-810H. The phone measures 162.15 x 74.78 x 8.29 mm and weighs 192.3 grams with the pen. Colors are PANTONE Coal Smoke and PANTONE Lavender Mist.
Performance
The phone keeps the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 from the previous model. This 4 nm chip has an octa-core CPU at up to 2.4 GHz and an Adreno 710 GPU. RAM is now 8GB of LPDDR5X. Storage is 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1, and Motorola.com is the only seller of the 256GB model. A microSD slot supports cards up to 1TB.
Cameras
The camera hardware matches the 2025 model. The main camera has a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C sensor, an f/1.8 lens and OIS. A 13MP ultrawide camera with autofocus also shoots macro photos. A 3-in-1 light sensor sits next to them. The rear cameras record 4K video at 30 frames per second, and the selfie camera has 32MP.
Battery and charging
Battery capacity grows from 5,000mAh to 5,200mAh. Charging stays at 68W wired and 15W wireless, and no charger comes in the box. The new stylus has its own small battery and charges inside the phone.
Software and updates
The phone ships with Android 16. Motorola promises two major Android upgrades and three years of security updates. The pen is now active, with pressure and tilt sensitivity in supported apps. Pen shortcuts include Quick Clip, Hover to Magnify and Circle to Search. Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and a 3.5mm jack round out the features.
Should you buy the Moto G Stylus (2026)?
It fits buyers who want a pressure-sensitive pen without paying for a flagship. The IP69 rating, microSD slot and headphone jack are other practical points. However, the chip and cameras are unchanged from the cheaper 2025 model. Rivals at a similar price also promise longer software support.
