The Oukitel WP63 is a rugged 5G phone built for camping, field work and emergencies. Oukitel first showed it at MWC 2026 in March. Retail sales started in October 2026 through the brand’s own online stores. The international store lists it at $339, while the German and Spanish stores ask €299. Its most unusual feature is a built-in electric igniter for starting fires.
Design and display
This is a heavy phone by any standard. It measures 174.7 x 83.0 x 27 mm and weighs 629 g. The body carries IP68 and IP69K ratings and a MIL-STD-810H claim. The rated operating range is -20 °C to 55 °C.
The igniter sits under a protective cover on the top edge, and you switch it on through an app. The back also holds a large camping light with several brightness levels and an SOS mode. A 3W loudspeaker is meant for noisy outdoor sites.
The front has a 6.67-inch HD+ screen with a 720 x 1600 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Oukitel lists a typical brightness of 480 nits. Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protects the panel.
Performance
The phone runs on the Unisoc T8200, a 6nm chip that was formerly called the T765. It combines two Cortex-A76 cores at 2.3 GHz with six Cortex-A55 cores. Graphics come from a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. Oukitel pairs it with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. A microSD card of up to 1TB can add more space.
Cameras
The main camera uses a 64MP OmniVision OV64B40 sensor with an f/1.8 lens and autofocus. Next to it is an 8MP night vision camera with infrared fill lights. It shoots black-and-white images in the dark. Rear video tops out at 1080p and 30 fps. A 20MP Sony IMX376 camera handles selfies.
Battery and charging
The 20,000mAh battery is the core of the design. Oukitel rates it at 105 hours of calls and 36 hours of video playback. Wired charging reaches 33W, and a full charge takes about 4 hours and 45 minutes. A short USB-C cable is built into the body. With it, the phone works as an 18W power bank for other devices. The box also includes a charger.
Software and updates
The WP63 ships with Android 16. Oukitel confirms over-the-air updates. However, it does not state how many years of OS upgrades or security patches the phone will get. Other features include NFC, eSIM support, a dual SIM tray and an FM radio.
Should you buy the Oukitel WP63?
The WP63 suits campers, hunters and outdoor workers who spend days away from a power outlet. The huge battery, power bank cable, camping light and igniter cover many needs in one device. On the other hand, the HD+ screen and the entry-level chip limit everyday performance. The 629 g weight and 27 mm thickness also make it hard to carry in a pocket. There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack.
