The POCO F5 Pro is a 2023 performance phone from POCO. It was announced on May 9, 2023, at the global launch of the POCO F5 series. In Europe, it started at €579.90 with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The phone is now discontinued, and its successor is the POCO F6 Pro. In China, the same phone was sold as the REDMI K60.

Design and display

The F5 Pro has a glass back and a plastic frame. It measures 162.78 x 75.44 x 8.59 mm and weighs 204 g. An IP53 rating protects it against splashes and dust. It came in Black and White.

The 6.67-inch WQHD+ AMOLED screen has a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels and 526 ppi. It refreshes at up to 120 Hz and reaches 1,400 nits at peak. The panel supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+. Gorilla Glass 5 covers the front.

Performance

Inside is the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, a 4 nm chip with a top CPU core at 3.0 GHz. It uses an Adreno 730 GPU. Memory options were 8 GB or 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM with 256 GB or 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. A vapor chamber cooling system helps keep performance stable.

Cameras

The main camera uses a 64 MP OmniVision OV64B sensor with an f/1.79 lens and optical stabilization. It is joined by an 8 MP ultrawide with a 120-degree view and a 2 MP macro camera. The rear camera records video at up to 8K at 24 fps or 4K at 60 fps. A 16 MP front camera handles selfies and 1080p video.

Battery and charging

The 5,160 mAh battery supports 67 W wired charging. A 67 W charger came in the box. The F5 Pro also supports 30 W wireless charging, which the regular POCO F5 lacks.

Software and updates

The phone shipped with MIUI 14 for POCO, based on Android 13. Xiaomi’s official update list shows security support from May 2023 to May 2026. That means its three-year support window has now ended. Xiaomi did not publish a number of Android version upgrades for this model.

Other features include stereo speakers, NFC, an IR blaster and an in-display fingerprint sensor. There is no headphone jack and no microSD slot.

Should you buy the POCO F5 Pro?

The F5 Pro is no longer produced, and POCO’s official stores in Europe list every version as out of stock. Its security updates also ended in May 2026. If you find one, it still offers a sharp QHD+ screen, wireless charging and a flagship-class chip from 2022. For a new purchase, the POCO F6 Pro is the direct successor with current software support.
