The POCO X7 Pro is a performance-focused mid-range phone. POCO announced it on January 9, 2025, alongside the regular X7. Sales in India started on January 14, 2025. POCO does not sell it officially in the US. In Europe, it costs €369.90 for the 8 GB + 256 GB version. In China, the same phone is sold as the REDMI Turbo 4.
Design and display
The X7 Pro has a flat 6.67-inch CrystalRes AMOLED display. It runs at up to 120 Hz with a 2712 x 1220 resolution. Peak brightness reaches 3,200 nits, and the panel supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protects the screen.
Colors are Black, Green and Yellow. The Yellow version has a two-tone faux leather back, while Black and Green use plastic. The frame is also plastic. POCO also sold an Iron Man Edition. The global model is rated IP68 and weighs 195 g, or 198 g with the leather back.
Performance
The phone debuted the Dimensity 8400-Ultra, a 4 nm chip with eight Cortex-A725 cores. Its top core runs at 3.25 GHz, and a Mali-G720 GPU handles graphics. Versions include 8 GB + 256 GB, 12 GB + 256 GB and 12 GB + 512 GB. All of them use LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. There is no microSD slot.
Cameras
The rear has two cameras. The main 50 MP camera uses a 1/1.95-inch sensor, an f/1.5 lens and optical image stabilization. An 8 MP ultra-wide camera sits next to it. The main camera records 4K video at up to 60 fps. The 20 MP selfie camera records 1080p video at 30 fps.
Battery and charging
The global X7 Pro has a 6,000 mAh battery with 90 W HyperCharge. POCO says it charges to 100% in about 42 minutes. The Indian X7 Pro and the REDMI Turbo 4 have a larger 6,550 mAh battery. The global box lists a 90 W charger, but EU and UK units ship without it. There is no wireless charging.
Software and updates
The X7 Pro shipped with Xiaomi HyperOS 2 based on Android 15. POCO promises three Android upgrades and four years of security patches. Extras include NFC, an IR blaster, stereo speakers and Wi-Fi 6. An in-screen fingerprint sensor handles unlocking. There is no eSIM support and no headphone jack.
Should you buy the POCO X7 Pro?
The X7 Pro fits buyers who want strong gaming performance for a mid-range price. Its Dimensity 8400-Ultra, UFS 4.0 storage and 90 W charging stand out in this segment. The large battery and IP68 rating add to its appeal. Buyers who need a telephoto camera, wireless charging or eSIM should look elsewhere.
