The REDMI Note 11 is a 4G budget phone from 2022. It was announced globally on January 26, 2022, as the entry model of the Note 11 series. In Germany, the 4 GB + 64 GB version launched at €199.90. The phone is now discontinued: it is gone from the official REDMI lineup and the official store.
Design and display
The Note 11 has a flat frame and a plastic back. It measures 159.87 x 73.87 x 8.09 mm and weighs 179 g. The phone carries an IP53 rating for light splashes and dust.
The 6.43-inch AMOLED DotDisplay has a 2400 x 1080 resolution and 409 ppi. It refreshes at up to 90Hz and samples touch at 180Hz. Typical high brightness mode reaches 700 nits, with a 1,000-nit peak. Colors were Graphite Gray, Twilight Blue and Star Blue. In India, the same colors were called Space Black, Horizon Blue and Starburst White.
Performance
The phone runs on the 6nm Snapdragon 680 with an Adreno 610 GPU. Its eight CPU cores reach up to 2.4 GHz. Memory options were 4 GB + 64 GB, 4 GB + 128 GB and 6 GB + 128 GB. India also got a 6 GB + 64 GB version. Storage is UFS 2.2, and a microSD slot adds up to 1 TB.
Cameras
There are four rear cameras. The main camera has 50MP and an f/1.8 aperture. It is joined by an 8MP ultrawide with a 118-degree view. A 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor complete the setup. The front camera has 13MP. Both the rear and front cameras record video at up to 1080p and 30 fps.
Battery and charging
A 5,000mAh battery powers the phone. It supports 33W Pro fast charging over USB-C, and a 33W charger comes in the box. Xiaomi says a full charge takes around an hour. There is no wireless charging.
Software and updates
The Note 11 launched with MIUI 13 based on Android 11. Xiaomi’s official update list shows security support until January 28, 2025. That means the phone no longer gets security patches. Other features include dual SIM, an IR blaster and dual speakers. NFC is available in some markets, and there is a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Connectivity covers Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0, but not 5G.
Should you buy the REDMI Note 11?
The REDMI Note 11 is no longer produced, and Xiaomi has ended its security updates. A used unit can still serve as a basic phone for calls, messaging and media. Its AMOLED screen, large battery and headphone jack remain useful. However, the lack of security patches is a real risk for banking and payment apps. For long-term use, a newer REDMI Note model with active updates is a safer choice.
