The REDMI Note 14 Pro 5G is a mid-range Android phone that REDMI announced globally on January 10, 2025. It went on sale on January 15, 2025. In Europe, prices start at €399.90 for 8 GB + 256 GB. This page covers the global model with a 200 MP main camera and a 5,110 mAh battery. Models sold under the same name in China and India use a different main camera and battery. REDMI also sells a 4G version called the REDMI Note 14 Pro. The Note 14 Pro 5G has since been replaced by the REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G.
Design and display
The phone measures 162.33 x 74.42 mm and weighs 190 g. It is 8.4 mm thick, or 8.55 mm in Lavender Purple. The frame is made of an aluminum composite. Lavender Purple has a vegan leather back, and the other colors have plastic backs.
The curved 6.67-inch CrystalRes AMOLED display has 2712 x 1220 pixels. It refreshes at up to 120 Hz. Xiaomi rates its peak brightness at 3,000 nits. It supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 covers the screen, and the phone is rated IP68. Colors are Midnight Black, Coral Green, Lavender Purple and Sand Gold.
Performance
The phone uses the Dimensity 7300-Ultra, a REDMI version of the MediaTek Dimensity 7300. This 4 nm chip has eight cores with a top clock of 2.5 GHz. A Mali-G615 MC2 GPU handles graphics.
Xiaomi offers 8 GB + 256 GB, 12 GB + 256 GB and 12 GB + 512 GB versions. Memory is LPDDR4X, and storage is UFS 2.2. There is no microSD slot.
The 4G REDMI Note 14 Pro uses a Helio G100-Ultra chip instead. According to Xiaomi’s comparison, it has an FHD+ screen, a 5,500 mAh battery and an IP64 rating.
Cameras
The main camera has 200 MP, a 1/1.4-inch sensor, an f/1.65 lens and optical stabilization. It is joined by an 8 MP ultrawide and a 2 MP macro camera. Xiaomi offers 2x and 4x in-sensor zoom, but there is no telephoto lens. The rear cameras record 4K video at up to 30 fps.
The 20 MP front camera records 1080p video at up to 60 fps.
Battery and charging
The global model has a 5,110 mAh battery with 45 W wired charging. Wireless charging is not listed. Xiaomi’s global specs page says a power adapter is not included, but this can differ by region.
Software and updates
The phone launched with Xiaomi HyperOS based on Android 14. Xiaomi has not published a full update policy on its product page. Other features include eSIM support, NFC, an IR blaster, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4.
Should you buy the REDMI Note 14 Pro 5G?
The phone suits buyers who want a bright 1.5K AMOLED screen and IP68 protection at a mid-range price. The 200 MP camera with OIS and the Gorilla Glass Victus 2 cover add to the package. However, storage is UFS 2.2, there is no headphone jack, and charging stays at 45 W. Buyers who want a newer model can consider its successor, the REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G.
