The Samsung Galaxy A07 5G is an entry-level 5G phone. It first appeared on Samsung’s Thailand store in January 2026, starting at THB 5,499. Samsung announced it globally on February 12, 2026, and said sales start in select regions on January 30. In India, the 4GB + 128GB model costs INR 15,999. Samsung also sells a separate 4G Galaxy A07 with a different chip and a smaller battery.
Design and display
The phone has a 6.7-inch PLS LCD with HD+ resolution (720 x 1600 pixels). The refresh rate goes up to 120Hz. High Brightness Mode lifts the peak to 800 nits, while typical brightness is 650 nits. The selfie camera sits in an Infinity-U notch.
The body measures 8.2 mm thick and weighs 199 grams. The back panel is made of glass fiber reinforced polymer. Samsung says it is thinner and stronger than the material of the Galaxy A06 5G. The phone is rated IP54 for dust and water splashes. Colors are Black, Light Violet and Light Green.
Performance
A MediaTek Dimensity 6300 powers the phone. It is a 6 nm chip with two cores at 2.4 GHz and six at 2.0 GHz. Samsung lists versions from 4GB RAM with 64GB storage to 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. A microSD card of up to 2TB fits in the hybrid SIM tray.
Compared with the 4G Galaxy A07, this model adds 5G and swaps the Helio G99 for the Dimensity 6300. It also gets a 120Hz screen instead of 90Hz and a 6,000 mAh battery instead of 5,000 mAh. It is slightly thicker and 15 grams heavier.
Cameras
The rear has a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 lens and autofocus. It has no optical stabilization. A 2MP depth camera with an f/2.4 lens completes the setup. The front camera is 8MP with an f/2.0 lens. Video recording tops out at Full HD at 30 fps.
Battery and charging
The battery has a typical capacity of 6,000 mAh. Samsung says the battery is larger than in the previous generation. Wired charging runs at up to 25W over USB-C 2.0. There is no wireless charging.
Software and updates
The Galaxy A07 5G ships with Android 16 and One UI 8. Samsung promises six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates. A press of the side button opens Gemini, and Circle to Search is also included. Samsung Knox Vault, Theft Protection and Auto Blocker cover security.
The phone also has a 3.5 mm headphone jack, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3 and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. NFC is not listed in the official specifications.
Should you buy the Galaxy A07 5G?
The Galaxy A07 5G suits buyers who want 5G and a big battery at a low price. Long software support is another plus. The 120Hz screen, IP54 rating and headphone jack add practical value.
The display is still only HD+, and the main camera has no stabilization. NFC is missing, and the microSD card shares a slot with the second SIM. Samsung does not sell this phone in the US or Europe.
