The vivo V70 Lite 5G is a slim mid-range phone with a 6,500 mAh battery and 90 W charging. vivo launched it on June 5, 2026, in the UAE, where it starts at AED 1,099. It reached Poland and other European markets in July 2026. It replaces the V60 Lite 5G and keeps much of its design and hardware. vivo also sells a separate 4G model called the V70 Lite in a few markets.
Design and display
The phone has a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen with 2392 x 1080 pixels and a 120 Hz refresh rate. vivo rates its local peak brightness at 3,000 nits, and the panel supports HDR10+. The back is a plastic composite sheet. The phone is 7.59 mm thick and weighs 194 g.
It has an IP65 rating, so it resists dust and water jets but is not made for submersion. The fingerprint reader is an optical sensor under the display. In Europe, the colors are Titanium Blue, Elegant Black and Pop Pink, while the UAE also gets Gold.
Performance
The phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 in its Turbo version. It is a 4 nm chip with a top clock of 2.5 GHz. This is the main hardware change from the V60 Lite 5G, which used the Dimensity 7360 Turbo. RAM is LPDDR4X, and storage is 256 GB of UFS 3.1 without a microSD slot. The 4G V70 Lite is a different phone with a Unisoc chipset and a larger battery.
Cameras
The rear has two cameras. The main camera uses a 50 MP Sony IMX882 sensor of 1/1.95 inches with an f/1.79 lens. vivo does not list optical image stabilization for it. An 8 MP ultrawide camera with a 120-degree view sits next to it.
On the front, a 32 MP selfie camera has an f/2.45 lens. Both sides can record 4K video. A ring-shaped Aura Light helps with portraits in low light.
Battery and charging
The global model has a 6,500 mAh battery with 90 W wired charging and bypass charging. vivo’s European spec page also lists a 5,200 mAh version for some countries. There is no wireless charging. The UAE box includes a charger, but the European box does not.
Software and updates
The phone ships with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. vivo has not published an update policy with a number of years for this model.
Should you buy the vivo V70 Lite 5G?
The V70 Lite 5G suits buyers who want a thin phone with long battery life and fast charging. Stereo speakers and NFC are also included. On the other hand, the main camera lacks OIS and the water resistance is only IP65. The update promise is also unclear. Buyers who want stronger cameras can look at the V70 FE.
