The vivo X300 is a compact flagship phone with a 6.31-inch screen. vivo announced it in China on October 13, 2025. The global and European launch followed on October 30, 2025. It is not sold in the US. In Europe, it costs €1,049 for the 12GB + 256GB version. The phone sits below the larger X300 Pro in the X300 series.
Design and display
The X300 has a flat glass back, an aluminum frame and a round camera island. It measures 150.57 x 71.92 x 7.95 mm and weighs 190 grams. The body is rated IP68 and IP69 for dust and water resistance. Global colors are Phantom Black, Halo Pink, Mist Blue and Iris Purple. Europe gets only Phantom Black and Halo Pink.
The 6.31-inch AMOLED panel has a resolution of 2640 x 1216 pixels, or 460 ppi. It uses LTPO technology, so the refresh rate adapts from 1 Hz to 120 Hz. vivo rates the local peak brightness at 4,500 nits. In addition, the screen supports high-frequency PWM dimming as well as a DC dimming mode.
Performance
The phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, a 3 nm chip. Its CPU has one 4.21 GHz core, three 3.5 GHz cores and four 2.7 GHz cores. The GPU is the Mali-G1 Ultra. Versions come with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. There is no microSD slot. A vapor chamber handles cooling, although Notebookcheck measured heavy throttling in long stress tests.
Cameras
The rear setup has three cameras. The main camera uses a 200MP 1/1.4-inch sensor with an f/1.68 lens and optical stabilization. Next to it sits a 50MP periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom, an f/2.57 lens and stabilization. A 50MP ultrawide with autofocus completes the set. All lenses carry ZEISS branding.
The front camera is a 50MP sensor with autofocus and a 92-degree field of view. The rear cameras record video at up to 4K and 120 fps. The X300 also works with the optional vivo ZEISS 2.35x Telephoto Extender Kit.
Battery and charging
The global version has a 6,040 mAh battery. However, European units in markets such as Austria and Hungary ship with a smaller 5,360 mAh cell. The phone supports 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging. A charger is included in most markets, but not in Europe.
Software and updates
The X300 launched with Android 16 and OriginOS 6. vivo promises five years of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. Other features include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader, stereo speakers, NFC, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 and an infrared blaster. There is no headphone jack.
Should you buy the vivo X300?
The X300 suits buyers who want flagship cameras and performance in a smaller phone. Its 3x periscope telephoto, large battery and long update promise stand out in this size class. On the other hand, the European version has a smaller battery and no charger in the box. The phone is also not officially sold in the US, so buyers there would need an import.
