The vivo X300s is a large flagship phone. vivo announced it in China on March 30, 2026, alongside the X300 Ultra. It went on sale in China on April 3, 2026. It launched at CNY 4,999 for the 12 GB + 256 GB version. vivo’s China store now lists that version at CNY 5,299. As of October 2026, vivo sells the phone only in China.
Design and display
The X300s measures 161.98 x 75.48 x 8.00 mm and weighs 217 g. Its back is glass, and it comes in Film Green, Dream Purple, Silver White and Titanium Black. vivo notes that Titanium Black is only a color name, not a titanium body. The phone carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water.
The front is a flat 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 2800 x 1260 resolution. It is the first X-series screen with a 144 Hz refresh rate. Its LTPO design scales down to 1 Hz. Launch reports list a 4,500-nit peak brightness and HDR10+ support.
Performance
A MediaTek Dimensity 9500 built on a 3 nm process powers the phone. Its fastest CPU core runs at 4.21 GHz, and the GPU is the Arm G1-Ultra. vivo pairs it with 12 or 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Storage options are 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB of UFS 4.1, with no microSD slot. A separate V3+ imaging chip handles part of the photo and video processing.
Cameras
The rear setup has three ZEISS-branded cameras. The main camera uses a 200 MP, 1/1.4-inch Samsung HPB sensor with an f/1.68 lens and OIS. A 50 MP periscope telephoto offers 3x optical zoom at a 70 mm equivalent, also with OIS. A 50 MP ultrawide camera with autofocus covers a 15 mm view.
The selfie camera also has 50 MP. Rear video recording goes up to 4K resolution. vivo also sells an optional ZEISS G2 teleconverter lens. It extends the telephoto reach to a 200 mm equivalent.
Battery and charging
The X300s packs a 7,100 mAh silicon-carbon battery. That is about 1,000 mAh more than the standard X300. The phone supports 90 W wired charging and 40 W wireless charging. For the full wireless speed, vivo names its 50 W vertical wireless charger 2. In China, a charger comes in the box.
Software and updates
The phone ships with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. vivo has not published an update policy for the X300s. Other features include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader and stereo speakers. It also has NFC, an IR blaster, Wi-Fi 7 and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port.
Should you buy the vivo X300s?
The X300s suits buyers in China who want a large flat screen and a 200 MP main camera. Its very big battery is another draw. Its 144 Hz panel and Dimensity 9500 also make it a good fit for mobile gaming. Buyers elsewhere should note that vivo has not launched it outside China. Imported units have no local warranty. Outside China, the X300 and X300 Pro are the official alternatives from vivo.
