The Blackview Xplore X1 Pro is a rugged 5G phone built around a FLIR Lepton 3.5 thermal camera. Blackview unveiled it in July 2026 as part of its Xplore series. It comes in one version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Blackview’s official store lists it at $659.99, which places it at the upper end of the rugged segment.
Design and display
The phone measures 184 x 83 x 18 mm and weighs 420 g. That makes it much thinner and lighter than the 20,000mAh Xplore 1 Pro, which shares the same thermal camera. It carries IP68 and IP69K ratings and MIL-STD-810H certification. Blackview also lists a 6 m drop rating and operation from -20°C to +60°C.
The main screen is a 6.78-inch IPS panel with a 1080 x 2460 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Blackview rates it at 700 nits and protects it with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. On the back, a 2.01-inch secondary display shows the time, notifications and a compass. The phone comes in Black and Orange.
Performance
Inside is the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7050. It pairs two Cortex-A78 cores at 2.4 GHz with six Cortex-A55 cores. The GPU is an Arm Mali-G68 MC4. Memory is LPDDR5, and storage uses UFS 3.1. A hybrid slot accepts a microSD card of up to 2TB, but then only one SIM fits.
Cameras
The rear has two cameras. The main one uses a 64MP OmniVision sensor with a 1/2-inch size and an f/1.79 lens. Next to it sits the FLIR Lepton 3.5 thermal module. It has a 160 x 120 resolution and a 57-degree field of view. It measures temperatures from -10°C to 400°C and supports FLIR MSX overlay and the FLIR Mobile SDK. The thermal app offers nine color palettes, spot and area tools, time-lapse and PDF reports.
For selfies, there is a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor. Blackview lists video recording at up to 2K.
Battery and charging
The battery has a capacity of 10,000mAh. It supports 55W wired charging and 55W charging through an optional dock. There is no wireless charging. However, the phone can share power with earbuds or a watch through 5W reverse charging over USB-C.
Software and updates
The phone runs DokeOS 5.0 based on Android 16, with the Doke AI 2.0 assistant. Blackview promises three years of Android version updates. Other features include NFC, an infrared remote, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and dual-frequency GPS. There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Should you buy the Xplore X1 Pro?
The Xplore X1 Pro suits electricians, inspectors and outdoor users who want thermal imaging in a rugged phone. Its 420 g weight is high for a phone, but it is far lighter than the Xplore 1 Pro. In return, you get half of that model’s battery capacity. Buyers who do not need thermal imaging can look at the Xplore X1. It uses the same body with a night vision camera. The Dimensity 7050 handles everyday tasks, but it is a mid-range chip rather than a flagship one.
