The Edge 60 Neo is a compact mid-range phone from Motorola. It was announced on September 5, 2025, at Lenovo Innovation World during IFA 2025 in Berlin. The phone is not officially sold in the US. In Europe, Motorola lists it from €399.99. It joins the Edge 60 family as its smallest and lightest member.
Design and display
The phone measures 154.11 x 71.24 x 8.09 mm and weighs 174.5 grams. Motorola uses a plastic frame and a soft silicone finish on the back. Depending on the color, the back looks like twill fabric or leather. The body carries IP68 and IP69 ratings, and Motorola also claims MIL-STD-810H compliance.
On the front sits a 6.36-inch pOLED panel with a resolution of 2670 x 1200 pixels. It is an LTPO screen with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Motorola rates its peak brightness at 3,000 nits. The display supports HDR10+ and 10-bit color, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protects it.
Performance
Inside is the MediaTek Dimensity 7400, a 4nm-class chip. It pairs four Cortex-A78 cores at up to 2.6GHz with four Cortex-A55 cores. Graphics run on a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. The phone comes with 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of storage. There is no microSD card slot.
Cameras
The rear setup has three cameras. The main one uses a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C sensor with an f/1.8 lens and optical stabilization. Next to it are a 13MP ultrawide camera that also handles macro shots and a 10MP telephoto camera. The telephoto lens offers 3x optical zoom and also has optical stabilization.
For selfies, there is a 32MP front camera with an f/2.4 lens. Video recording on the rear goes up to 4K. Motorola adds a portrait mode with four focal lengths and its moto ai photo tools.
Battery and charging
A 5,000mAh battery powers the phone. It supports 68W TurboPower wired charging and 15W wireless charging. However, the charger is not included in the box. Motorola ships only a USB-C cable and a protective case.
Software and updates
The Edge 60 Neo launched with Android 15. Motorola promises four years of Android OS upgrades. Security updates are guaranteed for five years, until June 2031. For connectivity, the phone offers 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and USB-C 2.0. It takes one nano-SIM and one eSIM.
Should you buy the Motorola Edge 60 Neo?
The Edge 60 Neo suits buyers who want a small, light phone with strong water protection. Its 3x telephoto camera and wireless charging are rare features in this price range. The long update promise also helps for long-term use.
On the other hand, the Dimensity 7400 is a modest chip for demanding games. The USB 2.0 port limits file transfers, and there is no charger in the box. Buyers in the US will have to rely on imported units.
