The Motorola Moto G47 Power is a budget 5G phone built around a large battery. It appeared in Europe and the UK in October 2026. In Europe, it costs €339, and the UK price is £299.99. It is a battery-focused version of the Moto G47, not a replacement for it.
Design and display
The phone has a 6.67-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution of 1604 x 720 pixels and 264 ppi. The refresh rate reaches 120Hz, and high brightness mode reaches 1,050 nits. Gorilla Glass 7i covers the front.
The frame is plastic, and the back is PMMA. The body measures 166.23 x 76.5 x 8.89 mm and weighs 215 g. That makes it thicker and heavier than the Moto G47, which is 7.85 mm thick and weighs 191 g.
Motorola rates the phone IP64 for dust and water resistance and states MIL-STD-810H compliance. It is sold in three colors: PANTONE Capri, PANTONE Nautical Blue and PANTONE Impenetrable.
Performance
The Dimensity 6300 is a 6nm MediaTek chip with an octa-core CPU that peaks at 2.4GHz. It works with an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The only version has 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
A microSD card can add up to 1TB of storage. RAM Boost can extend memory virtually up to 12GB, although that does not add physical RAM.
Cameras
The rear setup has a 108MP f/1.7 main camera with 9-in-1 pixel binning and phase-detection autofocus. A 2MP f/2.4 macro camera sits beside it. Motorola does not list optical stabilization, and there is no ultrawide or telephoto camera.
The front camera is 8MP with an f/2.0 lens. Both the main and front cameras record video at up to 2K and 30fps. The main camera also records Full HD at 60fps.
Battery and charging
The battery has a 7,000mAh typical capacity and a rated capacity of 6,790mAh. Motorola claims up to 78 hours and 19 minutes of battery life. Wired charging reaches 30W, compared with 20W on the Moto G47.
The phone can also charge other devices over a cable at 6W. It has no wireless charging. The box includes a USB-C cable but no charger.
Software and updates
The phone ships with Android 16 and the My UX interface, with Google Gemini for voice control. Motorola’s UK page lists five years of security updates. We could not confirm a promised number of Android upgrades.
Should you buy the Moto G47 Power?
This phone suits buyers who rank battery capacity above screen sharpness and raw speed. It also keeps a 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo speakers, NFC and a microSD slot.
Buyers who want more memory or a sharper screen should compare other phones at this price. The 4GB of RAM and HD+ panel are its main limits. The standard Moto G47 is thinner and lighter if a smaller battery is acceptable.
