The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is a mid-range phone that Motorola announced at MWC on March 2, 2026. It went on sale in Europe the same day. In the UK, it starts at £369.99, and there is no official US release. It targets buyers who want a large curved screen, a rugged body and long battery life.
Design and display
The phone has a quad-curved design, so both the front and back curve toward every edge. The frame and back are plastic, but the back has a textured finish inspired by nylon and linen. Motorola sells it in five Pantone colors: Orient Blue, Silhouette, Sporting Green, Country Air and Blue Surf.
The body is rated IP68 and IP69 and meets MIL-STD-810H durability tests. On the front, a 6.78-inch Extreme AMOLED panel shows 1272 x 2772 pixels. It refreshes at up to 144Hz, supports HDR10+ and reaches a peak brightness of 5,200 nits. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protects the screen.
Performance
The global model runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. In India, however, the Edge 70 Fusion uses the newer Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. There, it comes in 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB versions. There is no microSD card slot.
Cameras
The main camera uses a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 sensor with an f/1.8 lens and optical image stabilization. Next to it sits a 13MP ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 lens. The main camera records video in 4K at 30fps. For selfies, there is a 32MP front camera with an f/2.2 lens.
Battery and charging
Motorola offers the global Edge 70 Fusion with two batteries. The standard model has a 5,200mAh cell, measures 7.21mm thick and weighs 177g. A second version packs a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, which makes it 7.99mm thick and 193g heavy. In India, only the 7,000mAh version is sold.
Both versions support 68W TurboPower wired charging. However, European boxes do not include a charger. There is no wireless charging.
Software and updates
The phone ships with Android 16 and Motorola’s Hello UI. Motorola promises three Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates. In addition, the software includes moto AI features and Google Gemini tools.
Should you buy the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion?
The Edge 70 Fusion suits buyers who want a bright 144Hz screen and strong water protection. It also fits a big battery into a slim body. The 7,000mAh version is the better pick for heavy users, while the 5,200mAh model is lighter. On the other hand, the chipset is a 2024 design and the body is plastic. There is also no telephoto camera or wireless charging. Buyers in the US should also note that Motorola does not sell it there officially.
