The Moto G Power (2026) is a budget 5G phone from Motorola for North America. Motorola announced it on December 16, 2025, and sales started in the US on January 8, 2026. It launched at $299.99 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The phone targets buyers who want a tough body and long battery life for a low price.
Design and display
The phone has a 6.8-inch LCD panel with Full HD+ resolution (2388 x 1080). It refreshes at up to 120Hz. In High Brightness Mode, it reaches up to 1,000 nits. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i covers the screen. The back uses a vegan leather finish, and the frame is plastic.
Durability is a key feature. The phone carries both IP68 and IP69 ratings, and Motorola says it passed 14 MIL-STD-810H tests. It weighs 208 g and measures 8.72 mm thick. Colors are PANTONE Evening Blue and PANTONE Pure Cashmere.
Performance
Inside is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, a 6nm chip. Its two Cortex-A76 cores run at up to 2.4 GHz. It pairs with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. A microSD slot adds up to 1TB of extra space. RAM Boost can also use storage as virtual memory.
The predecessor, the Moto G Power (2025), used the same chip with the same amount of RAM. So day-to-day speed should be similar between the two models.
Cameras
The rear setup has a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture. It also has optical image stabilization. Next to it sits an 8MP ultrawide camera with autofocus, which also handles macro shots. The main camera records video at up to 1080p and 60fps.
On the front, there is a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture. This is an upgrade over the 16MP front camera of the previous model.
Battery and charging
The battery capacity is 5,200 mAh, slightly larger than last year. Motorola rates it for up to two days of use. The company also says the battery keeps over 80% of its health after 1,000 charging cycles.
Wired charging runs at up to 30W. However, wireless charging is gone, although the 2025 model supported it. There is no charger in the US box, only a USB-C cable.
Software and updates
The phone ships with Android 16 and Motorola’s Hello UX features. These include Moto Secure and Family Space. Google Gemini and Circle to Search are built in. Motorola promises two Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates. That support window is short compared with some rivals in the same price range.
Should you buy the Moto G Power (2026)?
This phone suits buyers who want a durable phone with a large screen at a budget price. At $299.99, it offers IP68 and IP69 ratings, NFC and stereo speakers. It also keeps a 3.5 mm headphone jack. It also keeps expandable storage, which few phones still offer.
On the other hand, owners of the 2025 model gain little, as the chip and RAM are unchanged. Buyers who need wireless charging or long software support should look at other options.
