The Moto G57 is a budget 5G phone from Motorola. The company announced it on November 5, 2025, together with the Moto G57 Power and the Edge 70. Sales started the same day in the Middle East at a recommended price of €249. The phone later reached Australia and is also sold in Europe through Amazon. It shares its chip, display and cameras with the Moto G57 Power but uses a smaller battery.
Design and display
The Moto G57 has a plastic frame and a leather-inspired back finish. It measures 166.23 x 76.5 x 7.99 mm and weighs 192.4 grams. That makes it thinner and lighter than the Power model. Gorilla Glass 7i protects the front. The phone has an IP64 rating and a MIL-STD-810H durability claim.
The 6.72-inch LCD has a 2400 x 1080 resolution, or 391 ppi. It runs at up to 120 Hz. High Brightness Mode reaches up to 1,050 nits. Water Touch keeps the screen responsive when it gets wet.
Performance
The phone runs on the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, a 4 nm chip. Motorola says the Moto G57 pair were the first phones to use it. The CPU has four Cortex-A78 cores at 2.4 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores at 1.8 GHz. Storage is UFS 2.2. The European model has 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Australia gets a 4 GB and 128 GB version. There is no microSD slot listed.
Cameras
The main camera uses a 50 MP Sony LYTIA 600 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. An 8 MP ultrawide camera covers a 119.5-degree field of view. A separate light sensor helps detect flicker. The front camera has 8 MP. The rear main camera and the selfie camera both record video at up to 2K and 30 fps.
Battery and charging
The battery has a typical capacity of 5,200 mAh. Motorola rates it for up to 47 hours of use. Wired charging runs at 30W. The box includes a USB-C cable and a case, but no charger. Wireless charging is not supported.
Software and updates
The Moto G57 ships with Android 16. Motorola has not published an update policy for this model on the pages we checked.
Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The phone supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1. NFC depends on the market. It takes one Nano-SIM and one eSIM. The fingerprint reader sits in the power button on the right side.
Should you buy the Moto G57?
The Moto G57 fits buyers who want a durable, budget 5G phone with a headphone jack. Its 120 Hz screen and IP64 rating are useful at this price. The LCD panel and UFS 2.2 storage are typical for the class. If battery life is your priority, the Moto G57 Power offers 7,000 mAh with the same core hardware.
