The Motorola Razr Ultra 2025 is the top model of the 2025 Motorola Razr flip phone family. Motorola announced it on April 24, 2025. In the US, it went on sale unlocked on May 15, 2025. The base version with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage cost $1,299.99. Outside the US, it is sold as the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra.
Design and display
This is the first Razr offered with an Alcantara back and a real wood finish. Other colors use a leather-inspired or satin-inspired finish. A titanium-reinforced hinge plate and IP48 protection make it more durable than the Razr+ 2024. Closed, it measures 88.12 x 73.99 x 15.69 mm and weighs 199 grams.
The 7.0-inch main pOLED display shows 2992 x 1224 pixels at up to 165Hz. It uses LTPO, supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, and reaches 4,500 nits at peak. The 4.0-inch external screen also runs at 165Hz. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic.
Performance
The phone uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite, a 3 nm chip with CPU cores up to 4.32 GHz. It comes with 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. A 1 TB version is sold only on motorola.com in the US. A dedicated AI Key on the side opens Moto AI. Motorola says CPU performance rose by 45% and graphics by 40% compared with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Cameras
Motorola calls it the first flip phone with three 50MP cameras. The main camera has a 1/1.56-inch sensor, an f/1.8 lens and OIS. A 50MP ultrawide also takes macro shots. The 50MP front camera sits inside the main display. Video reaches 8K at 30 fps, and the phone records in Dolby Vision.
Battery and charging
A 4,700 mAh battery is paired with 68W TurboPower wired charging. Motorola says a full charge takes about 40 minutes in Charge boost mode. The phone also supports 30W wireless charging and 5W reverse charging. Chargers are sold separately in the US.
Software and updates
The Razr Ultra 2025 shipped with Android 15. Motorola promises three Android upgrades and four years of security updates. The update to Android 16 started in the US in February 2026.
Should you buy the Motorola Razr Ultra 2025?
It suits buyers who want the fastest Razr of 2025. It also has the largest screens and the fastest charging in the lineup. On the other hand, there is no telephoto camera. The software update promise is also shorter than on some rival foldables. Its successor is the Razr Ultra 2026.
