The nubia Air Pro is an ultra-thin mid-range phone from ZTE’s nubia brand. It went on sale in Italy on May 22, 2026. The suggested price there was €449.90 for 8GB + 512GB. The phone was first shown at MWC 2026 in Barcelona. In September 2026, it also launched in the Philippines. The suggested price there is PHP 26,999 for 8GB + 256GB. It is not sold in the US.
Design and display
The main selling point is the body. The Air Pro is 5.99 mm thick and weighs 172 g, according to nubia. The frame is made of aluminum alloy. Despite the slim build, the phone carries IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
The front has a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. nubia lists a peak brightness of 4,500 nits and 3840Hz PWM dimming. The panel shows 1.07 billion colors. Sources disagree on the exact resolution, so we list it as unconfirmed. The phone comes in Aero White and Prime Black.
Performance
Inside is the MediaTek Dimensity 7100, a 6nm mid-range chip. It has four Cortex-A78 cores at up to 2.4 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores. Graphics run on a Mali-G610 MC2 GPU. The phone pairs the chip with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Storage is 256GB or 512GB of UFS 2.2, and there is no microSD slot.
Cameras
The rear camera island holds two cameras. The main camera uses a 108MP sensor, and a 2MP macro camera sits next to it. There is no ultrawide or telephoto lens. On the front, a 32MP selfie camera sits in a punch-hole cutout. nubia also promotes underwater photos and a burst mode for sports shots.
Battery and charging
The phone packs a 5,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. Wired charging reaches 45W. The Air Pro can also charge other devices over the cable at up to 10W. In addition, it supports bypass charging, which powers the phone directly from the charger during heavy use. Wireless charging is not listed.
Software and updates
The Air Pro ships with Android 16 and nubia’s MyOS interface. It includes AI tools such as an AI Text Assistant and an AI Photo Editor. There is also a one-tap sports mode that tracks steps, calories and GPS distance. An optional armband holds the phone during workouts. nubia has not published an official update policy for this model.
Should you buy the nubia Air Pro?
The Air Pro suits buyers who want a very thin and light phone with strong water and dust protection. It also offers a large battery for its thickness and plenty of base storage. However, the camera setup is basic, with only a 2MP helper lens. The Dimensity 7100 is a mid-range chip, so heavy gaming is not its focus. Buyers in the US should note that the phone is not officially sold there.
