The OnePlus 10T is a performance-focused Android phone that OnePlus announced on August 3, 2022. It went on sale in India on August 6, 2022, and reached North America in September. In the US, it started at $649 for the 8 GB + 128 GB model. In Europe, it launched at €699. OnePlus no longer sells it, so the 10T is now a discontinued model.
Design and display
The 10T has a 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLED screen with a 2412 x 1080 resolution and 394 ppi. The panel refreshes at up to 120 Hz and supports HDR10+. Corning Gorilla Glass 5 covers the display.
The phone measures 163 x 75.4 x 8.75 mm and weighs 203.5 g. It has a glass back and a plastic mid-frame. OnePlus sold it in two colors: Moonstone Black and Jade Green. Moonstone Black has a textured, sand-like finish, while Jade Green has a glossy finish. The 10T also dropped the Alert Slider, a long-time OnePlus feature. The US model carries an IP54 rating for splash and dust resistance.
Performance
A Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip built on a 4 nm process powers the phone. It pairs with an Adreno 730 GPU and LPDDR5 RAM. Memory options were 8 GB, 12 GB and 16 GB, with 128 GB or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The 12 GB version was sold only in India. There is no microSD card slot. OnePlus also fitted a large vapor chamber to manage heat during long gaming sessions.
Cameras
The rear camera system has three lenses. The main camera uses a 50 MP Sony IMX766 sensor with an f/1.8 lens and optical image stabilization. It is joined by an 8 MP ultrawide camera and a 2 MP macro camera. There is no telephoto lens.
The main camera records 4K video at up to 60 fps. On the front, a 16 MP camera handles selfies and 1080p video. Unlike the OnePlus 10 Pro, the 10T has no Hasselblad camera tuning.
Battery and charging
The phone has a 4,800 mAh battery. Outside North America, it charges at up to 150 W with the SUPERVOOC charger in the box. OnePlus says a full charge takes about 19 minutes. In the US, the same charger is limited to 125 W. The 10T does not support wireless charging.
Software and updates
The 10T launched with OxygenOS 12.1 based on Android 12. OnePlus promised three major Android updates and four years of security patches. Other features include NFC, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, stereo speakers and an optical in-display fingerprint reader. There is no headphone jack.
Should you buy the OnePlus 10T?
The OnePlus 10T suits buyers who want fast charging and strong performance for less than a flagship price. Its weaker points are the basic camera setup, the missing wireless charging and the limited water resistance. It is no longer produced, so it is now found mainly as remaining or used stock. Its software support window is also shorter than that of newer phones.
