The OnePlus 12 is a flagship phone that OnePlus announced in China on December 5, 2023. It went on sale there on December 11. The global launch followed on January 23, 2024, and US shipments started on February 6, 2024. In the US, it started at $799.99 for the 12 GB / 256 GB model. The phone is now discontinued. OnePlus left the US and European markets in July 2026. The phone is out of stock in its official stores.
Design and display
The OnePlus 12 has a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED panel that OnePlus calls the ProXDR Display. It runs at 3168 x 1440 pixels, which gives 510 ppi. The refresh rate adjusts from 1 Hz to 120 Hz. OnePlus lists a peak brightness of 4,500 nits.
Gorilla Glass Victus 2 covers the screen. The panel supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+ and HDR Vivid. The phone measures 164.3 x 75.8 x 9.15 mm and weighs 220 g. It has an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. The colors are Flowy Emerald and Silky Black, and India also got Glacial White.
Performance
The phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with an Adreno 750 GPU. Its fastest CPU core reaches 3.3 GHz. Global models have 12 GB or 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Storage is 256 GB or 512 GB of UFS 4.0. China also had a 24 GB / 1 TB version. There is no microSD slot.
Cameras
The rear setup has three cameras tuned with Hasselblad. The main camera uses a 50 MP Sony LYT-808 sensor with an f/1.6 lens and optical stabilization. A 64 MP periscope telephoto gives 3x optical zoom and also has optical stabilization. A 48 MP ultrawide camera covers a 114-degree field of view.
The rear cameras record video at up to 8K and 24 fps. The 32 MP front camera can record 4K video at 30 fps. An infrared blaster on the top edge lets the phone control TVs and other devices.
Battery and charging
The battery has a typical capacity of 5,400 mAh in a dual-cell design. Wired SUPERVOOC charging reaches 100 W in most markets. The US model is limited to 80 W. The charger comes in the box.
The phone also supports 50 W AIRVOOC wireless charging. In addition, reverse wireless charging lets it top up earbuds or a watch.
Software and updates
The OnePlus 12 launched with OxygenOS 14 based on Android 14. OnePlus promised four major Android updates and five years of security patches. In 2026, OnePlus said that its phones will move to ColorOS starting with the Android 17 update. The company also said existing owners keep getting updates and support.
Should you buy the OnePlus 12?
The OnePlus 12 is no longer produced, and its direct successor is the OnePlus 13. New units are now hard to find, mostly through resellers. It still suits buyers who want fast wired and wireless charging, a large battery and a 3x periscope camera. However, the IP65 rating is lower than the IP68 rating on many rivals. Buyers who want the longest software support should look at newer phones.
