The OPPO Find X6 Pro is a flagship phone that OPPO announced in China on March 21, 2023. Sales started there on March 24, 2023. OPPO sold it only in mainland China, with no official global version. Its launch price in China was 5,999 yuan for the 12 GB + 256 GB model. The phone succeeds the Find X5 Pro and focuses on cameras tuned with Hasselblad.
Design and display
The front has a 6.82-inch AMOLED screen with a 3168 x 1440 resolution and 510 ppi. It uses LTPO tech, so the refresh rate changes from 1 Hz to 120 Hz. OPPO rates peak brightness at 2,500 nits. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 covers the display.
A large round camera module sits on the back. The phone came in three colors. Cloud Black and Feiquan Green have a matte glass back. Desert Silver Moon pairs a brown vegan leather panel with a silver glass section around the cameras. The frame is aluminum, and the phone has an IP68 rating for dust and water. The glass versions weigh 218 g and measure 9.1 mm thick. The leather version weighs 216 g and is 9.5 mm thick.
Performance
Inside is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with an Adreno 740 GPU. Its fastest core runs at 3.19 GHz. OPPO also adds its own MariSilicon X chip for image processing. Memory options are 12 GB or 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Storage is 256 GB or 512 GB of UFS 4.0, with no microSD slot. The USB-C port supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 speeds.
Cameras
The rear setup has three 50 MP cameras. The main camera uses a 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor with an f/1.8 lens and optical stabilization. The ultrawide camera uses a Sony IMX890 sensor with a 110-degree view. It also handles close-up shots from 4 cm. The periscope telephoto camera also uses an IMX890 sensor and gives 3x optical zoom with stabilization. The rear cameras record 4K video at up to 60 fps. On the front, a 32 MP camera handles selfies and video calls.
Battery and charging
The battery has a typical capacity of 5,000 mAh, split into two cells. The phone supports 100W SUPERVOOC wired charging, and the charger comes in the box. It also supports 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging. Other features include stereo speakers, an IR blaster, NFC and an optical fingerprint reader under the display.
Software and updates
The phone launched with ColorOS 13.1 based on Android 13. OPPO promised four major Android upgrades and five years of security patches. Since it is a China model, it ships without Google apps. The Chinese firmware has limited language options.
Should you buy the Find X6 Pro?
The Find X6 Pro suits buyers who want a 1-inch main sensor and a 3x periscope camera. It also offers fast charging. However, it was never sold officially outside China. That means no Google services out of the box, no local warranty and possible gaps in network bands. Buyers in the US or Europe may prefer phones with official global versions. Examples include the Xiaomi 13 Ultra and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
