The OPPO Reno14 5G is an upper mid-range phone from OPPO. It was announced in China on May 15, 2025, and went on sale there on May 23. The international launch followed on July 1, 2025. In Europe, OPPO sells it in countries such as Germany and France, but not in the UK. It is not sold in the US. Its main features are a 3.5x telephoto camera, a 6,000mAh battery and IP69 protection.
Design and display
The phone measures 157.9 x 74.73 x 7.42 mm and weighs about 187 g. It has an aluminum frame and a glass back with a matte Velvet Glass finish. Outside China, OPPO sells it in Opal White and Luminous Green. The Opal White model has an iridescent pattern that shifts with the light.
The 6.59-inch flat AMOLED panel has a resolution of 1256 x 2760 pixels, or 460 ppi. It refreshes at up to 120Hz and reaches 1,200 nits in high brightness mode. Gorilla Glass 7i protects the screen on global models. The phone is tested to IP66, IP68 and IP69 against dust and water.
Performance
Inside is the MediaTek Dimensity 8350, built on a 4 nm process. Its fastest core runs at up to 3.35 GHz, and the GPU is a Mali-G615 MC6. Memory is LPDDR5X, and storage is UFS 3.1. Global and European models come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage. China also gets 16GB versions with up to 1TB. There is no microSD slot.
Cameras
The rear setup has three cameras. The 50MP main camera has an f/1.8 lens and optical stabilization. A 50MP telephoto camera offers 3.5x optical zoom and also has OIS. The third camera is an 8MP ultrawide with a 116-degree field of view. A triple flash sits next to the lenses.
The front camera also has 50MP and autofocus. Both the rear and front cameras record 4K video at up to 60fps. The rear camera app also includes an underwater shooting mode.
Battery and charging
A 6,000mAh battery powers the phone. It supports 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging, as well as USB PD and PPS charging. There is no wireless charging. The charger comes in the box in many global markets, but the European box has only a cable.
Software and updates
The phone launched with ColorOS 15, based on Android 15. OPPO promises five major ColorOS upgrades and six years of security patches for this model. The software includes Google Gemini and OPPO AI photo editing tools. Other features include NFC, an infrared remote control, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4.
Should you buy the OPPO Reno14 5G?
The Reno14 5G suits buyers who want a telephoto camera in a slim and light phone. It also fits people who need strong water resistance and long software support. The large battery and 80W charging add to its appeal. On the other hand, it has no wireless charging and no microSD slot. It is also not sold in the US or the UK, so buyers there would need to import it.
