The realme 11 Pro 5G is a mid-range phone that realme announced in China on May 10, 2023. It reached India in June 2023 and Europe later that month. In Italy, it launched at €379.99 for the 8GB + 128GB version. The phone is not sold in the US. Its main selling points are a curved 120Hz display, a 100MP camera with OIS and a vegan leather design.
Design and display
The design was created with Matteo Menotto, a former Gucci print designer from Milan. Sunrise Beige and Oasis Green use vegan leather with a stitched center line. Astral Black uses a matte plastic back instead. As a result, the black model is thinner and lighter. It measures 8.2 mm and weighs 185 g, while the leather colors measure 8.7 mm and weigh 191 g.
The front has a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED panel with a 2412 x 1080 resolution. It refreshes at up to 120Hz and realme rates its local peak brightness at 950 nits. For low brightness, the screen uses 2160Hz PWM dimming. There is no official IP rating for water or dust resistance.
Performance
Inside is the MediaTek Dimensity 7050, built on a 6nm process. Its CPU runs at up to 2.6 GHz, and the GPU is a Mali-G68. Global models come with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. In China, realme also sold a 12GB + 512GB version. There is no microSD card slot.
Cameras
The rear has two cameras. The main camera uses a 100MP sensor with an f/1.75 aperture and optical image stabilization. A 2MP portrait camera helps with depth effects. There is no ultrawide or telephoto lens. The rear camera records video at up to 4K and 30 fps. On the front, a 16MP selfie camera records at up to 1080p.
Battery and charging
The phone has a 5,000mAh battery with 67W SUPERVOOC wired charging. The global box includes the charger, a USB-C cable and a protective case. There is no wireless charging.
Software and updates
The 11 Pro 5G launched with realme UI 4.0 based on Android 13. According to Notebookcheck, realme promised two major Android updates and three years of security patches. That means the phone can reach Android 15. Other features include stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and an in-display fingerprint reader. European models also have NFC.
