The REDMI Note 11 Pro+ 5G is a mid-range phone built around 120W charging. It debuted in China on October 28, 2021, as the REDMI Note 11 Pro+. The global launch followed on March 29, 2022, with a global launch price of $369. In Europe, it cost €399.90 for the 6GB + 128GB version. In India, the same phone is sold as the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge. It is now discontinued, and Xiaomi’s security support ended in April 2025.
The name causes some confusion. India also had a phone called Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G. That model uses a Snapdragon 695, a 5,000mAh battery, and 67W charging. It matches the Note 11 Pro 5G sold elsewhere, not this phone.
Design and display
The phone has a flat frame, a glass back, and a large rectangular camera block. It measures 163.65 x 76.19 x 8.34mm and weighs 204g. The frame is plastic, and the body carries an IP53 rating for splash resistance.
The 6.67-inch AMOLED panel runs at 2400 x 1080 with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Peak brightness reaches 1,200 nits, and Gorilla Glass 5 covers the front. Global colors are Graphite Gray, Forest Green, and Star Blue. China also offered a Time Quiet Purple version.
Performance
The phone runs on the Dimensity 920, a 6nm chip with a top CPU speed of 2.5GHz. Its GPU is the Mali-G68. Memory options are 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, with 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. A hybrid slot accepts either a second SIM or a microSD card of up to 1TB. It was also the first Redmi Note phone with a vapor chamber cooling system.
Cameras
The rear setup has three cameras. The main one is a 108MP unit with an f/1.8 lens and a 1/1.52-inch sensor. It sits next to an 8MP ultrawide with a 120-degree view and a 2MP macro camera. The official specs list no optical stabilization. Rear video tops out at 4K and 30fps. The 16MP front camera records at up to 1080p and 60fps.
Battery and charging
The 4,500mAh battery is split into two 2,250mAh cells, which allows much faster charging. Xiaomi rates the 120W HyperCharge system at a full charge in 15 minutes under Boost mode. A 120W charger comes in the box. Xiaomi also says the battery keeps up to 80% of its capacity after 800 full charge cycles. There is no wireless charging.
Software and updates
The phone launched with MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11. It was due two major Android upgrades, which took it to Android 13. Xiaomi’s official update list shows security support running from April 2022 to April 2025.
Should you buy the Note 11 Pro+ 5G?
This phone is no longer produced, and its security updates have ended. Xiaomi’s European stores no longer sell it, so buyers would mainly find used units. It still suits people who value very fast charging, dual JBL speakers, a headphone jack, and an IR blaster. Most buyers should look at its successor, the Note 12 Pro+ 5G, or a newer model with active support.
