The Ulefone RugKing 5 Pro is a budget rugged phone built around a 20,000mAh battery. Ulefone announced it in March 2026, and sales started on March 16, 2026. Ulefone sells it worldwide through its official online store. The early-bird global launch price was $269.99 for the only version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It is a 4G phone and does not support 5G.
Design and display
The RugKing 5 Pro is a large and heavy phone. It measures 179 x 85 x 26.5 mm and weighs 629 grams. The body is rated IP68 and IP69K, and Ulefone states MIL-STD-810H certification. A rear panel with 1,202 LEDs works as a camping light with up to 976 lumens. The phone comes in one color, Black.
The front has a 6.78-inch IPS LCD with a 1080 x 2460 resolution and 396 ppi. It runs at a fixed 60Hz and reaches 910 nits of peak brightness. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 covers the panel. A Water-Lock Mode turns off touch input in heavy rain, and a Glove Mode is also available.
Performance
The phone uses the Unisoc T7250, a 12nm octa-core chip. It has two Cortex-A75 cores at 1.8GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 1.6GHz. The GPU is an Arm Mali-G57. The phone has 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage. A microSD slot accepts cards up to 2TB, and it works alongside two Nano-SIM cards.
Cameras
On the back, there is a 64MP main camera with an OmniVision OV64B40 sensor and an f/1.79 lens. Next to it sits a 20MP night vision camera with a Sony IMX350 sensor. Two infrared LEDs help it capture images in complete darkness. The front camera has 16MP. Both the rear and front cameras record video at up to 1080p and 30fps. There is no optical image stabilization.
Battery and charging
The battery has a typical capacity of 20,000mAh. It supports 33W wired charging, and a charger comes in the box. The phone can also charge other devices over a cable at up to 6W. Ulefone rates standby time at up to 1,371 hours and talk time at up to 89 hours. There is no wireless charging.
Software and updates
The RugKing 5 Pro ships with Android 16 and a mostly clean interface without ads. Ulefone adds AI tools, such as a recording summary, writing help and a calculator. NFC supports Google Pay, and Widevine L1 allows HD streaming. Ulefone has not published a promise for Android version or security updates.
Should you buy the RugKing 5 Pro?
The RugKing 5 Pro suits buyers who need several days of battery life far from a power outlet. It also fits people who want a strong work light and a night vision camera in one tough device. The low price helps as well. However, the chip is slow, the screen runs at only 60Hz, and there is no 5G. The 629-gram body is also hard to carry in a pocket. If you need speed or better cameras, consider a different rugged phone.
