The HONOR 400 Pro is the top model of HONOR’s 400 series. HONOR announced it on May 22, 2025, and UK sales started the same day. It comes in one version with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, priced at £699.99 in the UK. The phone is sold in the UK, Europe and other global markets, but not in the US.
Design and display
The HONOR 400 Pro has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with gently curved edges. Its resolution is 2800 x 1280 pixels, or 460 ppi. The refresh rate goes up to 120Hz, and HONOR rates the HDR peak brightness at 5,000 nits. The panel also supports 3840Hz PWM dimming.
The phone measures 160.8 x 76.1 x 8.1 mm and weighs about 205 g. It carries both IP68 and IP69 ratings, so it handles submersion and high-pressure water jets. HONOR sells it in Lunar Grey and Midnight Black.
Performance
Inside is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with an Adreno 750 GPU. It was Qualcomm’s flagship chip before the Snapdragon 8 Elite. It is paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. There is no microSD slot. Compared with the HONOR 400, the Pro offers much more processing headroom for games and heavy apps.
Cameras
The rear camera system has three lenses. The main camera uses a 200MP, 1/1.4-inch sensor with an f/1.9 lens and optical image stabilization. A 50MP telephoto camera with an f/2.4 lens gives 3x optical zoom and also has OIS. HONOR names the telephoto sensor as a customized Sony IMX856. The third camera is a 12MP ultrawide with an f/2.2 lens.
Digital zoom reaches up to 50x. On the front, there is a 50MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 lens. Video recording goes up to 4K resolution. Like the HONOR 400, the Pro includes AI Image to Video, built with Google.
Battery and charging
The phone uses a 5,300 mAh silicon-carbon battery. HONOR says it stays healthy for four years, or 1,200 charge cycles. Wired charging runs at up to 100W and fills 51% in about 15 minutes. The Pro also supports 50W wireless charging, which reaches 36% in 15 minutes. In the UK, no charger comes in the box.
Software and updates
The HONOR 400 Pro ships with Android 15 and MagicOS 9.0. HONOR promises six years of Android upgrades and six years of security updates. Gemini and HONOR’s own AI tools are built in. The phone also has NFC, an infrared blaster, stereo speakers, eSIM support, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
Should you buy the HONOR 400 Pro?
The HONOR 400 Pro fits buyers who want flagship-level features below typical flagship prices. It adds a 3x telephoto camera, wireless charging and IP68/IP69 protection over the HONOR 400. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is no longer the newest chip, but it is still fast. The USB port is limited to USB 2.0 speeds. The phone is not officially sold in the US.
