The REDMI Note 14 Pro is the 4G version of the Note 14 Pro. Xiaomi presented it at the global launch of the Note 14 series on January 10, 2025. The REDMI Note 14 Pro 5G is a separate model with 5G and a different chip. In Germany, Xiaomi’s own store lists the 4G model from €349.90. It sits in the mid-range, between the Note 14 and the 5G Pro models.
Design and display
The phone has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with curved sides. It runs at 2400 x 1080 pixels and up to 120Hz. Xiaomi rates its peak brightness at 1,800 nits and lists 10-bit color. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protects the screen. The frame uses an aluminum composite, while the back is plastic. An IP64 rating covers dust and water splashes. It measures 162.16 x 74.92 x 8.24 mm and weighs 180 grams.
Performance
The phone runs on the MediaTek Helio G100-Ultra, a version of the Helio G100. It is made on a 6nm process and has eight CPU cores at up to 2.2GHz. A Mali-G57 MC2 handles graphics. Configurations range from 8GB RAM with 128GB storage to 12GB RAM with 512GB. Storage is UFS 2.2, and a hybrid slot takes a microSD card of up to 1TB. Compared with the Note 14 Pro 5G, this model lacks 5G and eSIM.
Cameras
The main camera uses a 200MP sensor with a 1/1.4-inch size, an f/1.65 lens and optical image stabilization. An 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera complete the rear setup. The selfie camera has 32MP and an f/2.2 lens. Video recording tops out at 1080p and 60fps on the main camera.
Battery and charging
The battery holds 5,500mAh. Wired charging reaches 45W over USB-C. There is no wireless charging. Xiaomi’s global specs list a charger in the box, but reviewers in Germany got no charger with European units.
Software and updates
The Note 14 Pro shipped with Android 14 and Xiaomi HyperOS. Notebookcheck and Smartzone report three major Android updates and four years of security patches. That is shorter than the support for the cheaper Note 14. Extras include NFC, an IR blaster, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Should you buy the REDMI Note 14 Pro?
The REDMI Note 14 Pro suits buyers who want a 200MP camera with OIS and a curved AMOLED screen. It avoids the extra cost of 5G. The headphone jack, microSD slot and IP64 rating add practical value. Still, it has no 5G, records video only at 1080p and gets fewer updates than the Note 14. Buyers who need 5G should compare it with the Note 14 Pro 5G.
