The Motorola Edge 60 is a mid-range phone announced on April 24, 2025, together with the Edge 60 Pro. It sells in Europe, the UK, India and other markets, but not officially in the US. Notebookcheck lists the 12 GB + 512 GB model at €429.99 in Europe. In the US, Motorola sells the related Edge (2025) instead.
Design and display
The phone has a 6.67-inch quad-curved pOLED panel with a 2712 x 1220 resolution. It refreshes at up to 120 Hz and reaches a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. HDR10+ is supported, and Gorilla Glass 7i protects the front.
The body is 7.9 mm thin and weighs 179 grams. The frame is plastic, while the back uses a silicone vegan leather finish. The phone carries IP68 and IP69 ratings and passed MIL-STD-810H tests.
Performance
The European model runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300, a 4 nm chip. It comes with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. A microSD slot adds up to 1 TB more. The Indian version is different. It uses the Dimensity 7400 chip and a 5,500 mAh battery. It also comes with 12 GB + 256 GB of storage.
Cameras
The rear has three cameras. The main one is a 50 MP Sony LYTIA 700C sensor with an f/1.8 lens and OIS. Next to it sits a 50 MP ultrawide camera with a 122-degree view. A 10 MP telephoto adds 3x optical zoom and OIS. The front camera also has 50 MP. Both sides record 4K video at 30 fps.
Battery and charging
A 5,200 mAh battery powers the phone. It supports 68W TurboPower wired charging. There is no wireless charging. In Europe, the box includes a case and a cable but no charger.
Software and updates
The Edge 60 launched with Android 15. Motorola promises three Android upgrades and four years of security updates, until March 2029. Moto AI tools and Google Gemini are built in. Moto AI can summarize notifications and transcribe audio recordings, but it needs a Motorola account.
Should you buy the Edge 60?
The Edge 60 suits buyers who want a tough, slim phone with a 3x telephoto camera. Its IP69 rating, large storage and microSD slot are rare in this price range. However, it lacks wireless charging, and its update promise is shorter than Samsung’s or Google’s. Buyers who need more speed or a bigger battery should look at the Edge 60 Pro.
