Inside is the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, a 4 nm chip with eight cores. Its fastest core runs at 2.63 GHz, and the GPU is an Adreno 720. Memory options go up to 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. There is no microSD slot.
Cameras
All three cameras use 50 MP sensors. The main camera has a 1/1.55-inch sensor, an f/1.88 lens and optical stabilization. The ultrawide camera has autofocus and a 119.4-degree field of view. The front camera also has autofocus and a 92-degree field of view. Every camera can record 4K video.
A ring-shaped Aura Light sits next to the lenses. It works as a soft fill light for portraits and has dual color temperature.
Battery and charging
The battery has a typical capacity of 6,000 mAh. Wired charging reaches 90W, but there is no wireless charging. The global box includes a charger. However, vivo’s European specs list no charger in the box.
Software and updates
The V50 ships with Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. Google features such as Circle to Search are built in. For India, vivo promises three years of OS updates and four years of security updates.

Should you buy the vivo V50?
The V50 suits buyers who take many portraits and selfies. It pairs a 50 MP autofocus selfie camera and Aura Light with a 6,000 mAh battery. The slim body and IP69 rating also help in daily use.
Gamers may want a faster chip, since the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 is an older mid-range design. The V60 is its direct successor. In Europe and India, vivo now lists newer V models, so check stock before you buy.
