The Xiaomi 14T Pro is the higher model of the 14T series from Xiaomi. It was announced in Berlin on September 26, 2024. It shares its 6.67-inch screen and overall look with the Xiaomi 14T. On top of that, it adds a flagship chip, wireless charging and 8K video. The phone is not sold in the US. In Europe, it started at €799.99 for the 12GB + 256GB version. Its successor is the Xiaomi 15T Pro.
Design and display
The 6.67-inch AMOLED panel has a resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels and 446 ppi. It refreshes at up to 144Hz and reaches a peak brightness of 4,000 nits. HDR10+ and Dolby Vision are supported.
The frame is made of 6M13 aluminum alloy, and the back is glass. The phone is 8.39 mm thick and weighs 209 grams. It carries an IP68 rating and comes in Titan Black, Titan Blue and Titan Gray.
Performance
The 14T Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+, a 4nm chip that uses only big CPU cores. Its fastest core runs at up to 3.4GHz, and the GPU is an Immortalis-G720 MC12. A 3D IceLoop system handles cooling.
Every version has 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Storage is UFS 4.0, with 256GB, 512GB or 1TB options and no microSD slot. Wireless connections include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC. The USB-C port, however, is limited to USB 2.0 speed.
Cameras
Like the 14T, the Pro has a triple camera made with Leica. The main camera uses Xiaomi’s Light Fusion 900 sensor, which measures 1/1.31 inches. It has an f/1.6 lens and optical stabilization. A 50MP telephoto camera with a 60mm equivalent focal length and a 12MP ultra-wide camera complete the setup.
Compared with the 14T, the Pro has a larger main sensor and a longer telephoto lens. It can also record 8K video at up to 30 fps, and 4K at up to 60 fps. The 32MP selfie camera records 4K at 30 fps.
Battery and charging
The battery holds 5,000mAh. Wired HyperCharge reaches 120W, and wireless charging reaches 50W. Neither the charger nor a wireless pad comes in the box, so both are sold separately.
Software and updates
The 14T Pro launched with Xiaomi HyperOS based on Android 14. It offers Google Circle to Search and Gemini. Xiaomi adds AI features such as AI Interpreter and AI Notes. Xiaomi promises four major Android upgrades and five years of security updates.
Should you buy the Xiaomi 14T Pro?
The 14T Pro fits buyers who want flagship-level performance, fast wired and wireless charging, and 8K video. Its launch price was lower than many flagships. It also offers a 1TB option. Still, the USB 2.0 port and missing charger are clear limits. Xiaomi’s own stores now list it as out of stock, and the Xiaomi 15T Pro has taken its place.
