The Moto G Stylus (2025) is a mid-range Motorola phone with a built-in pen. Motorola announced it on April 8, 2025, and it went on sale in the US on April 17, 2025. The unlocked model launched at $399.99 with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Canada followed in May through Motorola.ca and select carriers.
Design and display
The 6.7-inch pOLED screen has 2712 x 1220 pixels, or 446 pixels per inch. It refreshes at up to 120Hz and peaks at 3,000 nits in HDR content. That is a clear step up from the 1080p panel of the 2024 model.
The phone now carries an IP68 rating and MIL-STD-810H certification. Motorola says it survives drops of about 1.5 meters. The back has a vegan leather finish in PANTONE Gibraltar Sea or PANTONE Surf the Web. It measures 162.15 x 74.78 x 8.29 mm and weighs 191 grams.
Performance
Inside is a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 made on a 4 nm process. Four Cortex-A78 cores run at up to 2.4 GHz, next to four Cortex-A55 cores. The GPU is an Adreno 710. The phone has 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of storage. A microSD slot adds up to 1TB more.
Cameras
The main camera uses a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C sensor with an f/1.8 lens and OIS. A 13MP ultrawide camera covers a 120-degree view and doubles as a macro camera. A third sensor on the back measures light and does not take photos. The 32MP front camera and the rear cameras record 4K video at 30 frames per second.
Battery and charging
The battery stays at 5,000mAh, but charging is much faster than before. The phone supports 68W TurboPower wired charging and 15W wireless charging. A charger is not included, so the 68W speed needs a separate adapter.
Software and updates
The phone launched with Android 15. Motorola promises two major OS upgrades and three years of bi-monthly security updates. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and a Nano-SIM plus eSIM. It also keeps a 3.5mm headphone jack and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.
Should you buy the Moto G Stylus (2025)?
It suits buyers who take handwritten notes or sketch on their phone. The IP68 rating, sharper screen and 68W charging are real gains over the 2024 model. Fans of microSD cards and wired headphones also get both. However, the update promise is shorter than on some rivals at this price. The Moto G Stylus (2026) succeeds it with a pressure-sensitive pen.
